All contingent on us beating the Ducks, of course...

As much fun as it would be to take on ND again, I think I'd like to see another home game.
Win-win, I suppose.

warriorchick

As much pleasure as I would derive from humiliating the Domers on their home court, I must go with the statisitical odds on this one.

Added plus - I am pretty sure I would be able to attend the game if it were at the Al.
Have some patience, FFS.

When you want to get back to the Garden, you go with what gives you the best chance. So ND, of course.  8-)

Mr. Sand-Knit

No Dick a better team than us when healthy and on the road I dont like our chances.  I will hope for 3 home wins n a trip to NYC

Cheering for Notre Dame would require me to cheer for Notre Dame. There are two problems with that.

First, if I cheer for them and we lose, I feel guilty for cheering for ND. It only pays off if we also win and then beat them.

Second, it would be cheering for ND. That's unacceptable unless they're playing Wisconsin. Since Wisconsin was ineligible for the NIT, that's simply unacceptable.

chapman

I still want to win this thing.  Playing a weaker team at home is obviously a better way to do that.

Warrior of Law

The last time MU went to Indiana for the NIT, Uwe Blab and Steve Alford led the Bobby Knight led Hoosiers past the Warriors in OT.  Of course, that was 1985, but I'd much rather host a game than go to Indiana again.

I would rather MU play at home if we are able to beat Oregon.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

If Sam isn't playing, I don't think we beat NIT team.

I was at that game and had to drive home to go to work the next day. OT really sucked. Did we finish that game with only four players or we just close to having that happen?

PSU.

I don't want to lose to ND and they will beat us.   PSU at home, much better option.  Oregon will not be easy.

Fighting Irish or Fighting Sanduskies?

Irish have enough fans on 3/17.  No reason to jump on the bandwagon.

Good point. Totally unacceptable.

Marquette finished with four players, one of whom was the 5'8 walk on, Willie Hines.

Yeah, once again No Dick and their arrogance gets the seeding to play all preliminary games on their homecourt, because the National Consolation Tourney wants to pull all the stops to ensure that no feather are ruffled with No Dick. Hoping somebody kicks their cocky asses.

Very true.  But, seriously doubt the NIT gave any consideration to Bucky given the field available.  15-18 was not on the NIT's radar.

What day will the game likely be played on?

The concern with playing Penn St. of course would be the one that got away. Buzz Williams recruited big man Satchel Pierce to Marquette.. unfortunately he went with Buzz to VPI. The NCAA essentially makes it easy for incoming kids to break their contracts when a new coach arrives...

Pierce, a 23-year old junior, is 7'0" and over 250 pounds. Sounds nice.

(Amazing how awful his collegiate career has been. Just brutal.)
