NCAA Sleeper Picks
« on: March 15, 2018, 10:33:10 AM »
Who's everyone's favorite sleepers this year? I was just going through my brackets one last time, and the only double digit seed I have in the sweet 16 is Marshall. I think a second round Marshall vs WVU will be a fun matchup, and I think Marshall's shooting can get them past the Mountaineers. Other than the Herd, I've got a lot of chalk up to the Elite 8.

Yea, have had a hard time picking upsets this year. My bracket is disgustingly chalky with the odd 6 seed in the sweet 16.

Sleepers (low seeds) in the S16: LUC, TCU, Butler

TCU is a 6-seed and I have them going to the E8

I have NMSU and Davidson winning their 5-12 games.  Providence is my biggest sleeper, making it to the E8 as a 10 seed.

After seeing PC in the BET, I think they could make some noise if they keep it rolling. I may have some conference bias there, but that's bound to happen in the tournament.

I thought I'd end with Loyola in the S16 too, but that second round game against Tennessee is going to be tough. They're big and physical, and I think that's going to throw Loyola off their game.

I have Seton Hall in the Elite 8. I could see Delgado going for 20/20 if Azubuike isn't 100%. And both Clemson and Auburn have significant pieces injured.

Loyola-Chicago to the Sweet 16, though I feel everyone has that.

Also like South Dakota State and Davidson to pull 12/5 upsets. Frankly, Davidson has a great path to the Sweet 16. Everyone loves that UK/Arizona game, but I can't see Kentucky's freshmen handling the Davidson offense, and Arizona doesn't play any team basketball, which is dangerous against an experienced, disciplined team like Davidson.

Damn, now wish I had picked Davidson further.

And while picking a one seed isn't an upset, has any one ever got less love than Xavier? Vegas has them fourth in their own region behind UNC, Michigan, and Gonzaga to reach the Final Four.

OK I'll admit it - maybe they're underrated!

Interesting...I’m all for the big east, but...we will, see how much of an effect hunter’s injury has on them.  Sorry fellas, but I gotta root for the buzz’ster over alabamy.  Listen for the free MU plugs anyway.  Especially if he goes deep

If Creighton gets hot shooting, it could happen. But UVa's defense is so tough that it's hard to get hot.

Same.  Had them advancing over New Mexico State to get there.

Wow, really going out on a limb picking a 7 seed over a 10.

I didn't pick Buffalo over Arizona on my bracket...but before the game even started I figured that Arizona would ultimately lose that game.  I just thought it would be after the NCAA vacated the win a couple years from now.  Nice of the Wildcats to save the NCAA the trouble.

Buzz gets “T’” d up-did it cost them the game?  Even though I thought he had the right to getter Uber pissed, gotta maintain man.  He may have thought that was the dagger?  I haven’t gone to their site to read the comments, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are asking for buzz to be “wojo’d”

Don't know why you thought he had the right to get Uber pissed.  It was a great call.  The defender was in position, stationary well before the offensive player left his feet.  Clear charge.

Idiotic move by Buzz.

So you use the "most unique mascot" method of picking?
