Same thing happened to me...

maybe we should get a group together of all the people that wound up having to fly solo since their groups were .5 seconds late clicking the button.  Kind of like how cruises have meet n greets for people who travel solo.  ha

Going forward, there is an easy way to solve this problem   ;D:

http://www.gomarquette.com/bluegold-fund/bgf-priority-point-system.html

That's true, but I do think it is an issue when they send out an email saying "your window opens at 3:00 pm" and they open it early. In the email, I was told 3. That was a lie and because I believed them, I didn't have the same opportunity to purchase.

Ticket office is now 0-2 in NIT ticket sales.
I think you mean 2-0.
They are, believe it or not, in the business of selling tickets after all.

I'd love to know who the person is with 750+ points that feels the need to buy tickets at $15 and sell for $200.  If you have 750+ points, you are either very old, very wealthy, or both and I don't think the $370 profit you are making from your two seats is worth you taking seats from other MU season ticket holders to purchase.

yes, I'm assuming they have over 750 points since they are 3rd row, center court seats.

I do believe people got hosed on that deal.

I feel if you have 750+ points, you've earned the right to do whatever you want with regards to Marquette tickets.

It's a scumbag ticket broker. He's the white scalper outside the BC.

Is there something going on at the Arena or the BC on Sunday?

The problem isn't how the ticket office is distributing tickets, it is that 7,000 -10,000 diehard MU fans don't fit in a 3700 seat gym.

It comes down to having a sellout NIT game for no rent at the Al. Or pay rent at the Mecca or BC and risk having half the place empty. Though I msyelf think the mecca would get quite a crowd.

Yep, the Arena should have been the venue.  The Al is not a great venue any way for a real game.  Fine for that Alabama A & M game several years ago or for Madnee or a scrimmage , but.....

so it was you???

you are completely right, not saying what they did was illegal or against rules.  Simply saying, that I wish someone with that stature would remember they weren't always at that level.  You do have a choice in life on how you want to act.  They don't have to buy them and donate to people, they can simply just buy what they need.  But I guess that $370 might cover their bottle of wine at Capital Grille before the game.

I don't believe MU wants to play in a building now known as the UW-Panther Arena.

I have been a STH for 9 years, I have 30 points and did not get tickets and it's perfectly fair. If MU were to limit it to 1 ticket for each STH there still would not be enough tickets for everyone.

I'm actually surprised they didn't raise ticket prices for Oregon.  They could have doubled prices and still had a sell-out.

They don't own the building.  They just pay to put their name on the billboard.  Just part of the Wisconsin Center complex.

They want a sellout, charging say 20 and 30 each would make me not buy.

So, it's not like MU is trying to make money on these games.
