Just curious to see how many people on this board would actually be willing to go to an NIT game if MU ends up in that tournament.

There is no option for "it depends". If I feel like it, and if one of my daughters feels like going, I might go. But I wouldn't want to go to a game at the BC. I want the full house and the fun of the Creighton game to be my last memory of a Marquette game at the BC, not a game with 4000 people in attendance against the regular season champion of some third rate conference.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Absolutely I would if I wasn't a 1000 miles away. More MU basketball is better than less

TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

GooooMarquette

I would definitely go if I still lived in Milwaukee.

brewcity77

I'd like to. Wife will probably make the decision for me, though.

JamilJaeJamailJrJuan

Game will be at the AL if NIT is the result.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Wojo Era

Would a second or third round NIT home game also be at the AL?

BossplayaOtto

A game at the Al would make it a definite yes. Will also probably go if at Bradley Center or at Mecca.

IrwinFletcher

Students are on spring break this week.

nyg

First round games are on 3/13 and 3/14.

Windyplayer

Really? This is where we are before the Selection Show.

#UnleashSean

I would go. Though I think we still make the ncaa

It's the sad reality we face as MU fans unfortunately

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

I'm in the only if they make it to MSG camp but that's because I live in metro NYC so it's really the only game I'd be able to attend by default.  But if they get that far I'll be there.

I'd be in the it depends category, too. What day of the week, who plays in the NC2As if it's the same day in the 2nd round, who's the opponent, any chance of crappy weather. But that's also largely the same list of qualifiers I have for regular season games. Cheaper tickets and parking in a smaller and rarer venue doesn't hurt. But home games only almost for sure.

Back in 2004, it was $20.

15 years since we knew to ask what the price of a NIT ticket is.  We've been entitled.

PhillyWarrior

No, the NIT is irrelevant, kind of like MU has been for 5 years.  Season tix holder for 35 years, done spending $$ on MU this season

I'd probably go. Didn't see them enough in person this year. That's if I get over the disappointment.

Same.  I'll be watching.  If they happen to play a road game near me I'd be there.

mu.n8ball

voted no but only because I'm on the west coast. otherwise, heck yes I'd he there.

GB Warrior

Will absolutely go. I know there's no chance it will be at the BC, but I echo the sentiments of a previous poster. The Creighton game should be my last memory there

A chance to play more basketball, get the young kids additional reps in a win or go home environment.  As a 35 year season ticket holder, you should know that importance for MU in the past and other teams.

NIT was the expectation this year, if that is where we land it means we met expectations.
