It won't be if Brew Jr. grows up to be 7'0" with soft hands and quick feet.

Well, I know Brew, and I can safely say Brew Jr. would be missing at least 50% of the necessary DNA.   ;D
Have some patience, FFS.

My wife's dad was 6'6", so there's some height on the other side, but I'm not spending any time banking on the athletic scholarship just yet.

Enjoy the adventure, brother.    Nothing like it.

Advice. Practice your sleeping.

You will find that your time as a promoted fire officer prepares you for fatherhood.  Lousy sleep patterns, whining and crying, cleaning up messes..... and then there's the time home with the baby.

Sounds about right  ;D

Good luck Brew!  (I've got one coming in a week or so)

But you won't have to spend 15 minutes on a report after a 2 am feeding and diaper change.

But you might have to spend 15 minutes reminding mrs. brew about it when she says you never help in the middle of the night.... ;D

That's awesome, good luck and congrats!

I suggest young BrewCity get baptized at MU's first game at the new Chulparena.

No, that was actually a PNB, or pulseless non breather. Basically, dead, but the EMS crew at the BC got the patient back and to the hospital.

Great finish for the BC, now headed home for a quick meal then off to the hospital.

Good luck Brew.  A day you'll remember forever.  Nice that MU made it extra special.  Someday show your kid a youtube clip of the highlights!  Happy birthday!

Congrats to brew and WindyCity!

I would have thought the influx of future Scoopers would have been nine months after the Nova game.

Hey, when you're at the hospital, hop into Game Chat and give us a play by play.

My wife (also an MU alum) had to visit her 91-year-old father at the assisted living facility today and she got there with about 5 minutes left in the first half. Watched the rest of the game there.

Here is our actual text thread:

Her, sent at halftime: "Not exactly impressive, huh?"

Me: "We got this!"

Her, a few minutes into the second half: "Meh."

Me: "We got this!"

Her: "OMG ... look at Rowsey!"

Me: "We got this!"

Her, just after the final horn: "Phew!"

Me: "We got that! Never a doubt!"

OK, so not quite as cool as having a baby after watching an incredible win. Damn brewski always has to top the rest of us.

Enough of the bubble watch threads.  We need a Brewbaby watch thread.

For whatever it may be worth, when I was born, Marquette was one of the last teams in the NCAA field and won a National Championship a month later with a then-record number of losses for a champion...

Won't be an issue if he actually does help in the middle of the night, and doesn't pretend he can't hear the baby crying...
