No contest -- Sam was the man. Good job by the rest of the supporting cast, though.

Sam hit almost everything from outside and looked great going to work inside. Great game all around.

Just looked at box score.
Dickey mentioned late in the broadcast (with the game getting out of reach) that Ponds was flirting with a triple double. Could have been a quadruple double if you included turnovers. Good job defensively by Sacar.

Also found it weird that both teams rolled with only 7 players. Can't say I remember seeing that in a while.

Gotta give it to Sam, but honorable mention goes to Rowsey. If only one of them had showed up tonight, this could have gone the other way.

Don't get to watch the late starts, but based on Tower's recap sounds like Scoop for STOG! A bit ironic if Markus' injury is what saves our season.

I'm going to be the contrarian and say Rowsey. We were not able to function without him on the floor.  I think his mature leadership was the key to the game.

I certainly can see Sam for SOTG.  But the most important player was Rowsey.  For the very short periods he sat, we couldn't get into any semblance of offense at all.  I hope we are able to find a ball handling guard for next season.

Everybody who played did their job well last night.

Gotta mention Sacar's defense.  Did he sit in the second half?

This is another tough one - Sam hit so many key shots when MU needed them.  But Rowsey held everything together (and MU fell apart for the 2 minutes he was out).  Flip a coin, heads Sam, tails Roeysey - tails it is.

Did you flip the coin behind your back for the 8th assist?  16 in two games.  And then the 'maybe coach is right' smile.

I know Sam was the the popular choice here and he was deserving - but you're right, those 2 minutes AR sat were downright scary.

I would have gone with Sam, with Rowsey is a fine choice.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

What's the point of a SOTG thread if the (clearly) popular choice isn't selected? Both deserving but looked like it was 80% votes for Sam.

I don't believe the mods ever asked for anyone else's opinion.  They aren't the ones that start them.

Fair. Guess I was under the assumption that the 'vote' here mattered. Regardless, I can't even disagree with the Rowsey choice despite popular opinion.
