Authorities constantly say "if you see something, say something."  Could it be any more clear in this case that they F-ed up about as bad as possible?

September - the FBI was told a guy named "Nick Cruz" commented in a youtube post "I will be a professional school shooter"
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/fbi-warned-cruz-professional-school-shooter-plans-months-article-1.3822163

The cops were called to his house 39 times over seven years (so starting when he was 12).
https://nypost.com/2018/02/16/deputies-called-to-suspected-shooters-home-39-times-over-seven-years/

Then this ....

FBI Didn’t Follow Up on Tip From Person Close to Teenager Charged in Shooting
https://www.wsj.com/articles/fbi-didnt-follow-up-on-tip-from-person-close-to-florida-gunman-1518802861

Which lead to this ...

Florida Gov. Rick Scott calls on FBI Director Chris Wray to resign
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/florida-governor-rick-scott-calls-on-fbi-director-chris-wray-to-resign/

----

How much damage does this do to the FBI effort to get people to speak up?  Do they now overreact and start violenting constitutional rights?

  • 'and the riot be the rhyme of the unheard'
Reported - clearly political.  this should be locked and you need a vacation on Chico's Island

Your line of thinking when it comes to rationalizing gun violence i.e. blaming everything and everyone except guns is reprehensible and disgusting.   EVERYONE ELSE acknowledges that the issue is multi faceted and complex and, therefore, the solution is multi faceted and complex.  But regardless of what we do with mental health and public security we must do something with gun control.  To think otherwise is ignorant, you think otherwise, ergo....

Why do people need assault rifles?

Does he kill 17 people if he has a knife instead of a gun? How about a pencil instead of a gun? A golf club instead of a gun?
