Sorry, that was uncalled for...well, unnecessary.

STOP SWITCHING ON BRUNSON. Automatic points

Fred Garvin

Howard must think he has to shoot every time he touches the ball

nyg

Team on a run and Wojo subs in Heldt, why?  Comes out to top of key to guard Brunson and well ya know.
So much for that run.  Heldt in for one minute.  Now MU back on another run.

Sacar has missed a few around rim, but really explosive, great to see.

Because we run an offense where bigs are asked to do a lot of running and screening and sometimes guys get tired

Yet Theo John sits the whole game, basically.

Shark

Oh wow f*cked by the refs at the end who could have guessed!

jesmu84

Holy crap. Bridges fouled the crap out of sacar on the drive. Then jumped on Jamal's back. Unbelievable

Theo exists.

We deserved to win this one.  Officials were terrible the entire way.  Totally unbalanced officiating.  Officiating was the difference in this game.

MUEng92

Every person on MUs roster would have been called for a foul on that offensive rebound by Villanova

bessy67

Pretty good game.  Too bad the officials swallowed their whistles for two obvious foul calls in the last minutes.

That was brutal. Not a cheapie either.

I don't quite understand the logic of switching between calling touch fouls for parts of the game, then "letting them play", then bouncing back and forth. I'd rather see constistency, at least then the players will know that they can potentially get mauled from behind on a boxout.

5-18 from Howard did not help, and Sam only had 5

real chili 83

Where was Theo this game??

The fact that was not a foul when compared to Harry's 3rd foul is laughable.

forgetful

To emphasize how much the officials impacted this game:

Our eFG%:  59.8%
Their eFG%:  56.9%

Rebounding:  Identical

Assists:

Us:  16
Them: 8

Fouls:

Us:  22
Them:  14
10 point advantage at the FT line.

9 of our 12 FTs were from #thething.

That is with us attacking the rim more than normal.  Not an aggressiveness thing, as both teams took the exact same number of 3s.  Simply officiating.

Ironic, but if he doesn't play at all in the second half we win by double digits. Not his day.

And we still could have won.

Bizarre that Markus and AR rarely both play well at the same time.

Yeah, he apparently had his hand on someone's back at the same time he was going up with both hands for the rebound. Elmore saw it

lawdog77

If we play we that intensity, we win the rest of our home games.

I wasn't able to see most of the game, so I can't comment on the calls on MU, but I don't think that was an over the back - https://twitter.com/NovaMBB/status/957708218037252096

Bridges gets the first hand to the ball and Cain leaves him opening/doesn't go up strong. He's a freshman and will continue to add muscle, it happens.

WindyCityGoldenEagle

Heck of an effort.

But Transition defense and an inability to avoid getting our bigs switched on to Brunson we're the keys to the loss.
