Juan Anderson's Mixtape

That banked 3 by Brunson sums it up: today is not our day.

Fred Garvin

Marcus needs to get the rest of the team involved

Listening on a flight, but feel like we need to drive and try to draw fouls. They have no depth, attack that.

Seems like that may have been our plan early.  They are letting the layers bang with the bodies, and we are not as big as them.  We bounce off of them.

Wright seems to have noted that Markus is not in the running for the BE all-D team.

Not really, what he realized is that Brunson is bigger and stronger than Rowsey/Howard.  Just give him the ball, clear out his side and let him back them down.  When the help comes kick to the open man and nail a 3, or start a defensive scramble.

Less they are not strong defenders, more they are small.

jonny09

Also bad at playing defense.

Divincenzo same thing on Howard early, but shooting right over him.  He's been sitting for last 10 minutes btw.

Sacar on Brunson now, so Bridges just will take over now.

The last two foul calls against MU were not fouls.  They've been letting those go all game.

MUEng92

So is Villinova's bench always filled in by the same fraternity or is it some sort of rotating system between all their fraternities?

nyg

Great run. Paschal and Divicnzo on bench with two fouls really helps.

jesmu84

Sacar driving that sequence. Great D on brunson

Fred Garvin

Seem to be playing better without Marcus in there right now the whole team contributing looks good

brewcity77

Huge from Cain! Come on, boys!

forgetful

Sacar on Brunson is working well with Divencenzo on the bench.  Brunson can't back Sacar down.  Gillespie can't exploit Rowsey, and Rowsey can take him all day on offense.

Agreed.  They typically struggle to keep up with their man, and get beat on quick first steps.

Just pointing out that Nova is not exploiting bad D, really exploiting size.

Fouls will dictate the rest of this game

Not a foul on Froling.  Not a travel on Sacar.

Could have easily called a foul on Howards drive and layup (body).

forgetful

The entire difference in the game right now is the FT line.

brewcity77

Can't complain down 5 at the half after trailing by 12. Hoping our depth can wear them out late.

MattyWarrior

Anim needs to drive and finish, he crosses the paint every time and gives it up, very predictable offense

We are going to need our depth for foul trouble.  Rowsey and Froling both with 3.

nyg

Rowsey, oh no........my goodness that hurt.

Since that

Markus comes in cold and takes two shots, misses both
Sacar turnover
Harry number three.
Momentum and lead completely gone.

One play changed everything.

skianth16

The third fouls on Roesey and Harry were just garbage. And that influences tge game in a big way. Total BS.
