The Olympic trials speedskating are being held at the Petit Center in Milwaukee.

MU Alum Brian Hansen (who earned a Silver medal in 2010 Vancouver Olympics in the team pursuit when he was still a student at MU https://marquettewire.org/3779902/tribune/tribune-sports/brian-hansen-story/)

He qualified again for the Olympics in the Men's 1500.

Emery Lehman, a civil engineering student at MU is also trying to qualify.  Even though he won the Men's 5000, he needs help to make the Olympic team.

Did the 52-year-old guy from downstate Illinois qualify for the 1500?
Have some patience, FFS.

You mean 47 year old KC Boutiette?  ... no

But he has been in four Olympics (between 1994 and 2006) and competed in the 1998 Winter X-games.

No, this guy was from Champaign or something and it would have been his first Olympics.  They were talking about him on the Chicago News.
Have some patience, FFS.
