Hah.  I guess it sounded like a cop out, but in Newsy's case it is THE solution.  Our new server has a new IP address.  Changing server IP is like a game of telephone with multiple seats around the word.  You tell one guy your new IP, and it starts going around the circle, but it still takes a long time for the last guy to be notified of the IP address change.  Of course, I made it worse because I messed up an entry that still pointed to the old server.  So the two different addresses were circling around the telephone game infinitely....

edited: I can't currently find a server reporting the old address, so it should work now.  If not...
That is interesting.  I suspect if you log out, and then in again it will resolve itself.  Or you could go delete all MUScoop cookies, and that'll make you log in again too

IIRC, this is our 3rd one?

3rd dedicated.  We had a brief stint at the beginning where we tried a shared hosting plan.  That didn't work well and only lasted a couple weeks until we went dedicated. This is the first time however that we've increased our server capabilities and cut our bills at the same time!

Dec 2006 - 4 core/ 1 GB RAM (UGH)
Jan 2010 - 4 core / 4 GB RAM
Oct 2012 - 4 core / 4 GB RAM (Move datacenter from Dallas to Provo)
Jan 2018 - 8 core / 8 GB RAM

So we got a new one 2012, but that wasn't really our choice.

Ok, a couple things after the game tonight (and the new server being up for a day)...

• The server got a little laggy tonight immediately after the game.  Did some tweaking, and it should be better now.
• iPhone/iPad apostrophes turn into question marks.  See here... https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8100425

So .. um .. since a ton of folks aren't going to turn smart-quotes off .. is there anything SMF/Scoop can do to fix the question mark issue?

Settings > General > Keyboards > turn off Smart Punctuation.
