Just stop.    Role models are few and far between.   And even kids with two 'role model' parents do stupid crap.

Not many do stupid crap to the point of shoplifting in a communist country, though.

How toxic is LiAngelo?

If he was interested in MU ... good idea? (hypothetically)

Who is more toxic Brian Bowen (Louisville) or LiAngelo?  Would you take Bowen?

There are stories all of the time about young Americans abroad getting arrested for something.    Drugs.   Indecent exposure.   Theft.  Nobody discussed their parents.     I am not absolving anyone.    But at the end of the day, a bunch of 18-19 year olds did something stupid and illegal.

Anyone else read this via Alex Jones' voice screaming into a microphone?

Never listened, so I will take your word for it.

LiAngelo was a low 3* recruit, ranked in the 200's.  Why would we take him?  I'm not even sure I'd take him if we were guaranteed his younger brother (who will likely be ineligible).

I think an MU student even did something illegal, was imprisoned and they made a movie about it.

The guess is that moron dad will do something shoe-related to screw it up.

The same day LaVar annouces that he's pulling the middle son out of UCLA, he announces he's releasing a new shoe & using his youngest son as the marketing piece for it.  So basically, if dad starts profiting off baby Ball's name, image, reputation, etc. in order to sell a basketball shoe, baby Ball's amateur eligibility is put into jeopardy.

Before the talk about paying for the sins of the father - granted, I'm not sure if this is accurate - I think he's being regarded as a 1-and-done, so skipping college and going G- or Euro-league for a season might not be a bad idea, especially since Alford is probably done playing with other Balls, and Enfield doesn't have any reason to.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Meanwhile, Lonzo is shooting 31% overall, 25% from 3 and 50% from the line. He is averaging 7 assists but also nearly 3 TO (not surprising for a rookie). His eFG% ranks near the bottom of the league.

If he doesn't fix his shot, he will never be a real difference-maker in the NBA; even Rondo wasn't this bad. It is possible, though. Conley, for example, was considered a poor shooter when he came in but he has made himself All-Star caliber. Numbers were never as ugly as Lonzo's, though.

you did read lavar's comment after his lil darlin made it home with all his digits intact, right?  "it ain't that big a deal"  ??  along with some other really stupid stuff.    i don't care if you have 1 parent, 2 parents, or no parents, someone needs to set a better example than this stump.  i think lonzo would be a better "father figure" than lavar

I'll take 5 Tim Maymon's instead of one Lavar.  I think the ratio is about 8-1, but that would be if the student athlete were any good.

They have signed with an agent and are being shopped to teams in Europe. Could get interesting if dad thinks he'll be able to get as much attention as he does in the US.

Will Monrovia be able to sign him for a five finger discount?
