At the high school where I am now the assistant girls basketball coach, we had a signing ceremony today. It was very nice.

There were 9 kids on the dias, including 2 basketball players (one boy and one girl). The AD introduced them all, each coach came up and said some nice things about each athlete, each athlete thanked those who helped them get to this point, and then there was a photo shoot of them signing their letters.

It was the first time I had seen one of these in person, and I really liked how it was handled. It was classy and "team oriented."

There is a boys' high school in Chicago that educates some of the most disadvantaged kids in Chicago.  It sends close to   100% of their graduates to college, and they have a hat ceremony for each kid once he decides where he is  going. I think it is a great tradition.

I remember all of those jokes.   Awesome stuff.   Actually followed the team for a few years.    I liked it when they played up tempo, running, passing, shooting quickly.    I didn't like it when they slowed it down.     I hated it when Peay dribbled too much.

Not true either.  Plenty of 4 year players are drafted but they don't go high in the draft because their upside is seen as limited.
