At the high school where I am now the assistant girls basketball coach, we had a signing ceremony today. It was very nice.

There were 9 kids on the dias, including 2 basketball players (one boy and one girl). The AD introduced them all, each coach came up and said some nice things about each athlete, each athlete thanked those who helped them get to this point, and then there was a photo shoot of them signing their letters.

It was the first time I had seen one of these in person, and I really liked how it was handled. It was classy and "team oriented."

Our lady hoopster got a scholly from Austin Peay.

If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter.

There is a boys' high school in Chicago that educates some of the most disadvantaged kids in Chicago.  It sends close to   100% of their graduates to college, and they have a hat ceremony for each kid once he decides where he is  going. I think it is a great tradition.

I'm only mad that TAMU beat me to it!

Some of my closest high school friends decided to go Peay.

I remember all of those jokes.   Awesome stuff.   Actually followed the team for a few years.    I liked it when they played up tempo, running, passing, shooting quickly.    I didn't like it when they slowed it down.     I hated it when Peay dribbled too much.   ;D

It's never good trying to hold Peay back. You've just got to let it out.

Are Peay's games streamed anywhere?

No, you were just quickest.
The rest of us would have gotten around to Peay eventually.
It does feel good, though.

Generally, a player that plays four years is not NBA material and that is the biggest reason 22 year olds are not drafted.

Not true either.  Plenty of 4 year players are drafted but they don't go high in the draft because their upside is seen as limited.

Bailey has even more upside than Ike. Very excited that Wojo publicly confirmed he is on the way.
I find it concerning that you lied on a public forum about a recruits visit and continue to post.

I've said it a dozen times before, the posts from Tex/MUFINY/Gus/Herman are just performance art.  Nothing should be construed as even attempting to be factual on his part.  He is simply trying to stir the pot, which he's tacitly admitted if you've read really closely.

Why some people get their jollies doing this is a mystery to me, but apparently it's entertaining to him.

Didn't we used to know him as Abe Froman back in the heyday?

tower912

Froman is/was a pretty openly racist Badger troll.    So bad that even many on the Badger Scout board tired of him.

Meanwhile at the Hauser residence........

Mrs. Hauser comes home:  "Hi Joey, i hope you had great day.  i just talked to Sam and he says not to read MU......."

Joey staring at his computer:  "why the hell would they be talking about Austin Peay and the likelihood of a Bailey going pro in my welcome thread?  and why would i care about the Sausage King of Chicago's bigotry?"

Mrs. Houser:  "....Scoop"
