Spent 3 years studying natural law.  Not coveted on bar exams.

I'm well studied in Bird Law.

That is interesting. It is an incentive to keep the talent at home, in WI, I guess.

The multi state test portion  is standardized and included in the bar exams of most , if not all other states. This helps attorneys with reciprocity and moving from state to state, down the road. Ie, in some states to come in and practice there only requires passing bar in your original state, practicing 5-10 years in good standing and just submitting character references and ....you are admitted in the new state....no testing.

BUT

If you haven't ever taken/passed a bar exam in WI ....I wonder if such impedes state to state movement/reciprocity down the line?

I'm no lawyer, but I think most states will give reciprocity after you've practiced for a certain number of years.  My bro-in-law just took a job in Austin  and he doesn't have to take the Texas bar.  Probably out of school 8 years or so.

Pretty sure states like AZ with a lot of snowbirds is harder or you have to do more to get/maintain your law license.

Yes ....Reciprocity is common for the experienced practitioner .

BUT....I am baffled as to your "pretty sure AZ snowbird reference"

Here is good atty licensing/practice reciprocity primer link.....note snowbirds or weather residency does not affect these requirements, lol:

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
