Vander has matured and is very focused. I watched all the summer games this year and he really held it together and prospered. Hopefully, he finds his way onto the Lakers  or at least gets the one two way contract they have left. If not, I think someone else will pick him up. He has worked hard on improving the areas he needed to improve.

If he does not make it this go around, he should go overseas for top dollar.

Could have been a 4 year deal @ a million bucks total...but it reads like a annual 7 year deal, but I doubt that very much

They must be including the digits after the decimal point.

That was my thought.  4 year, $1.2MM deal or something like that.  Wouldn't be that far fetched, especially for a proven scorer.  I really hope Vander sticks cause this article makes it seem like he's grown a lot and his work ethic is great.  But otherwise, he's the kind of player who would light it up for one of the Euroleague caliber teams.

Vander got in for 7 minutes in the Lakers preseason opener. 5 points. 1-2 from the field and 2-2 free throws. Had 2 Boards and No Turnovers. Had a plus 5 rating.  13 players got in the game. The other guard he is competing against did not get in the game. Josh Hart also out with hamstring and not playing next game (Monday) as well.

Rooting hard for Vander to make the squad.

Vander played 8 minutes last night. Had 2 points 1-2 shooting 1 board no turnovers and a plus 11 rating. 15 players got in the game. The other guard he is competing against did not get in the game again.  Josh Hart also injured again.

Vander is working hard to do exactly what Luke Walton is looking for .
