I don't know how much more of the BCS I can take. This was by far the worst set of BCS games in recent memory. They gambled on Hawaii and Illinois and lost big time. Every game was basically a blow out or was completely dominated by the winning team. I guess Kansas VT was close at the end, but Kansas completely outplayed VT.

I think the best bowl game was the UM Florida game.

I know a playoff system will never happen, there has to be a better way!

yeah.. and this article says that University of Georgia President Michael Adams, who also chairs the NCAA's executive committee, calls chances for an 8 team playoff 'at least 50-50':

Anything will be an improvement over the BCS. I don't think people would blink an eye if the the four traditional bowls were axed in favor of an 8 team playoff system. Even if we have a playoff, they could keep the four traditional bowls. We could even go back to the traditional conference alignments. If the conference winner for the big 10 is in the playoff, the 2nd place team would head to the Rose Bowl, etc. My idea for an 8 team playoff is simple. Round 1 would be on the weekend that would give teams at least a week off prior to new years day. Round 2 would be on new years day, and the championship can be a week later. Having an 8 team playoff and keeping the traditional bowls would result in more games, and hence more money for NCAA, schools, TV, etc. We probably would lose some of the other New Years day bowls like outback or capital one, but who would care?
