Dawson is done.  JJJ has graduated.  He needs a new obsession.  He needs Kostas to success so he can finally say 'I told you so.'

Agreed. But at least those other 2 at some point played at Marquette. Heck, were even recruited by Marquette at some point. Marquette never had one iota of interest in Kostas Antetokounmpo. It'd be the same as someone giving us updates on Marqueze Coleman.

He believes Kostas has a great neck and heretofore untapped talent.  If K succeeds at Dayton, it is ammunition against Wojo.  Blahbity blahbity blah.

May you be 1000% correct about Ike.

Neither of those things are impressive.  Nor are they related to MUBB in any way. But props for not shirking away from your prediction even if it looks like you were wrong about Kostas' talent level

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Seriously, why don't we start a thread on every guy in D1 basketball?  Kostas was interesting when there was some chance MU was recruiting him.  That was years ago so nobody gives a darn anymore.  I'm sure he's a fine kid and all but head over to daytonscoop to discuss him further, mkay?

Kostas had his first Double Double Tonight against Hofstra.  10 Points !0 Boards 4 Block shots 2 assists 1 steal no turnovers.

He had two highlight reel block/scoring sequences. The first he blocked the shot at the top of key and then ran the court and made the layup. The second he blocked at the wing got the ball and drove it up the court and laid it off beautifully for an assist. He was a disruptive influence on defense not just around the rim but also in making it difficult for the other team to feed into the outside. His length and jumping were on full display. Kosta's played most of the second half and led the Dayton comeback that just fell short .

MU needs to be recruiting his brother Alexis.

IMO a big mistake not recruiting this kid. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. He is good kid and his brother would have been a great recruiting tool.

a double double vs Hofstra?! Consider me appalled we didn't recruit him.

He also forgot to mention that Dayton lost to the mighty Pride of Hofstra despite Kostas' contributions

GGGG

Hofstra isn't bad.  And 26 minutes of PT, with 10 points, 10 rebs, 2 assists, a steal and four blocks?  If that were one of our freshmen, we'd be thrilled.

I'm not saying we should, or should not have recruited him.  However let's not diminish what looks like a nice accomplishment.  However I think maybe we should stop with the continual updates.

Everyone is going to be recruiting Alexis.  Word is that he is light years ahead of where Giannas was at his age, and may end up being better than Giannas.
