This is a good, quick read that shows how important Gonzaga Basketball was to the university. They were barely keeping their heads above water and then they go to an elite 8, Few becomes coach, rest is history.

I'm hoping Gonzaga pulls it out. But I'm just looking forward to seeing some good games.

Thank you for this.  On the Marquette Parents Facebook page, a lot of parents have been grousing lately about the attention given to the basketball program, including a couple of folks who were livid that the players got great dorm rooms and didn't have to go through the housing lottery "just because they can dribble a basketball".  I posted your article there.  It will be interesting to see the feedback I get.
Have some patience, FFS.

Did you ask them what their child is going to do in the next four years to earn the university millions of dollars?

Something to that affect.  But since I am on the Parent's Board, I have to watch my rhetoric a little bit.  Fortunately, I have a friend who is also a Marquette parent who has a major IDGAF attitude in general.  When I have a particularly good zinger, I give it to her and she posts it.

Have some patience, FFS.

If I was the guy that had South Carolina gear shipped to Rhode Island, I'd also get this map made into a shirt and/or poster. Major superfan cred.

BM1090

South Carolina over UNC so I can place in my bracket and get some money.

Heart says Gonzaga over Oregon.

Gonzaga
South Carolina
Oregon
UNC

That order.

Like others---South Carolina, just to place and have a brew

Why would people in Iowa be buying Oregon gear?
Gotta root for Gonzaga.  Jesuit school and they have the the guy from Poland.

Hope wojo is watching south Carolina play. He needs plenty of pointers on coaching defense.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

brewcity77

That was fun. South Carolina was really tough. Just a great game.

The former Burger boys, Williams-Goss and Collins were outstanding.  Collins is going to make some serious NBA money one day.  Great game.

Love the McHale drop step in the first half.

Karnowski gets poked in the eye and no foul. Explain that to me.

brewcity77

Uh oh, don't let Wisconsin know that UNC used "Jump Around", they'll try to sue for copyright infringement.

It happens all the time. I'd bet getting poked in the eye goes without a foul call more often than with a foul call. Refs aren't usually watching a single finger making contact with the opponent away from where 99.9% of contact happens.

Yep.  Incidental contact on a clean block.

brewcity77

Are you kidding me? UNC misses four FTs and then goes all Seton Hall v Marquette on the glass?

Fun fact, the over under was 153...final score 153. Vegas cleaned up.
