Rumor mill spins for @IlliniWBB with Carolyn Kieger on it. If so, who slides into @MarquetteWBB? @wbballhoopscoop @womhoopsguru @wparker

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Not happening.
Have some patience, FFS.

Can't see her leaving her alma mater for a less than high level program.

Dawson Rental

She'd be leaving two very good years to come, as well.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Marquette Fan

I wouldn't think she would leave her alma mater at this point for Illinois.  But if they can continue to do well, I expect we'll be hearing her name pop up for a lot of job openings.

Mr. Sand-Knit

She should put in a call to fred hoiberg
Political free board, plz leave your clever quips in your clever mind.

Does it make our women's BB loss look better that Quinnipiac went and beat Miami on their home court last night?

Absolutely.  Just like South Carolina's win over Duke.

If you are going to lose, it's best if you do it to the Cinderella team.

I don't know which big time jobs in WBB are coming up or how much CK is paid here compared to others but I really hope she sticks around. Has the program on the upswing and she seems to have the personality for the job.

I'm excited about the future of both programs at MU!

This is key. She got to this point with some great sophomores. Give them 2 more years of experience plus any contributions from incoming recruits, and the 2019 version of this team has the potential to lose to UConn in the finals.

Early on that was the case with Terri Mitchell, but her star sank.  I don't expect the same to occur with Kieger, though.  Hopefully, being a Big East program will allow Marquette to provide sufficent resources and pay to make any incremental benefits from going elsewhere out weighed by the hassles of moving and starting over elsewhere.

I guess when women's coaches start changing jobs like the men's coaches do, we'll know that women's basketball has truly arrived.

Josh Whitman, Illinois AD has hired Washington University in St. Louis long time legendary D-3 coach Nancy Fahey as new womens basketball coach at Illinois. Whitman of course is the former AD at Wash U.

Dude isn't afraid to think outside the box, but I'm not sure about this one.  The Bo Ryan of women's hoops?

Dude hush.  Like that's possible.

shoothoops

Strange comparisons. I am guessing that is inside joke stuff for the board, and not sure what it has to do with this topic. This ends the discussion of "Kieger to Illinois" ?

Anyway, at the D-3 level, Nancy Fahey has 5 NCAA titles, 10 Final Fours, 22 league titles, over 700 wins.

Multiple bios, including the one at the Wash U site, doesn't mention any spouse or children.  That usually means something.  But I certainly could be wrong in my thinking.

Not that it matters.

So any 33-year-old childless unmarried woman is probably a lesbian.  I will have to write that down.

And be honest: If it didn't matter, you wouldn't have brought it up.

She's not 33. She's almost 60.

And according to PTM I am correct anyway. So you can tamper down your outrage.
