Gard did an amazing job dealing with his best players in foul trouble.

COACHING MATTERS.

If doing an amazing job is to hold the ball for 30 seconds each possession and hope the other team misses open shots, then yes, I guess he did an amazing job.

Absolutely!  How can you not want to emulate them?  4 sweet sixteens for their seniors.

Telling Driscoll not to call any fouls on Happ?

Calls all went Nova's way in the first 30 minutes.

Hayes just made great plays in the last five minutes.

Doesn't seem to matter.  They always find someone else to step in.  Great program. Happy for them.

Last 4 years:

Badgers 4 straight sweet 16s. 2 (3?) final fours.

Warriors: one blowout loss to South Carolina.

Make it stop.

Now the question becomes why any decent Wisconsin player would ever want to shun the state program. Sweet Sixteen every freaking year.

How the F*** do the defending national champs not get a call on Happ on that last drive?? He bodied him so hard, he hit the floor. I better not EVER EVER hear another Badger fan ever complain about foul calls again after that sh*t.

Bucky is going to miss those seniors next year.  Will be a radically different team.

I would love to hear the head of officials explain how the Hayes foul wasn't a flagrant 1. Villanova lost on the same foul Seton Hall lost on, except it was called the exact opposite.

This. I thought the call in the Hall game was awful, but it was literally the same thing minus a dive. Similar call on Wake in play in game. They were bad calls, but if you're going to call it, at least be consistent.

That said, Nova shouldn't have put themselves in that situation. Disappointing for the league.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

He sure did. Everyone focused on the block (which was clean) but Happ bodied the shiit out of him

I think that's what they reviewed and determined it wasn't a clear path foul because the ball was going out of bounds

If I was talking to a therapist right now and he asked me to describe my feelings about UW basketball, he would probably say "damn man, you're messed up"

Well for those of you so worried about UW (personally I don't give a crap what they do, but mad they beat Nova), you can take solace in the fact that they're not going to be very good at basketball next year, and maybe for a few years.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.
