Seriously though, in hindsight I wonder if Crean wishes he would have stayed here.  I think he could have been a lifer at Marquette.

Who's to say that would have been Crean's choice?  Look at Jamie Dixon at Pittsburgh - he struggled to win in March (much like Crean did at IU), and he left to take another job anyway.  You don't see coaching lifers anymore because of the challenges to continue high success.  Crean made the right choice then, and today is an even better result for him.  He can go to a new school and start fresh.

If we were looking for a coach, I would take him back.

I am happy with Wojo though.

This picture showed up on my Facebook feed today as a memory from 2014...what a coincidence.....

Lead Indiana out of the dumpster they were in, won regular season championships, but never the Big 10 tournament.  Many injuries this year, but to much pressure from the program/fans/alumni.  Thought he would get one more year.

Lets see who they direct their efforts after, Alford, Holtmann, Mack, the Millers, whole bunch out there and someone is going to get paid the big bucks.

The chain reaction this sets off will be interesting.

Crean picks up $ 4 million . He can sit back and pick the job that best fits his needs. I think he will do TV for a while . His son is going to play baseball at IU next year and I am sure he will want to enjoy that.

I think Indiana top brass needs a reality check though. The guy just came off a Big Ten Coach of the year and his team beat Kentucky and UNC this year. It is not like the program was going down the drain.

It would be helpful for MU if Crean stayed on the sidelines for a few years .  One less competitor for Zaire's services .

I think this speaks volumes about IU basketball. Someone will jump at the job ("It's Indiana, it's Indiana) and be out on his ass in a few years.

Cream doesn't bug me too much, a little smarmy maybe. I think is a good guy to get the things going in the he right direction/ back on track. I don't think he is a great coach or tactician.

Indiana didn't even play Kentucky this year, they beat Kansas in their first game.  He's only 50 and there will be offers for him soon, if not already.

Zaire will join Stan Johnson on Quinnipiac's roster when Stan gets the call.........

Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

Gregg Marshall will go there. Tom Crean's twin
Twitta Tracka of the Year Award Recipient 2016

Ironic timing by Fred Glass & IU to bury this news.

The real question remains: Will Zaire ask for a release?
