Our good buddy My-Ron is back at it with his floor to ceiling analysis of all teams.  Would someone with Insider access please post his little tidbit on MU (and any other teams deemed appropriate)?

Gracias.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

7. South Carolina

Best case: With a strong backing from Gamecocks fans, Frank Martin's team knocks off Duke in the second round in Greenville.Worst case: An inconsistent South Carolina squad (3-6 in its past nine games entering the NCAA tournament) fails to advance past Marquette.
8.
Wisconsin
Best case:
Ethan Happ, Bronson Koenig and Nigel Hayes anchor a squad that plays like the team that started 10-1 in the Big Ten, beats Virginia Tech in the opening round and advances to rattle Villanova in the second round -- but the Badgers don't advance past the Wildcats.Worst case: The Badgers squad that has struggled from the 3-point line and surrendered 83 points to Ohio State in the past month falls short in the opening round against Virginia Tech.
9. Virginia Tech
Best case:
Zach LeDay (16.3 points per game, 7.4 rebounds per game) and Virginia Tech beat Wisconsin and advance to the second round against Villanova.Worst case: One of the worst defenses in the ACC gets booted by an efficient Wisconsin team in the first round.
10.
Marquette
Best case: The nation's top 3-point shooting team (43 percent) beats South Carolina in Greenville and gives Duke trouble in the second round.Worst case: The Golden Eagles fail to get their offense off the ground against a South Carolina squad essentially playing in front of a home crowd.
11.
USC/ Providence Friars
Best case: Providence or USC will be more battle-tested as a result of their conference schedules, and each boasts wins on par with or better than SMU (and the Trojans beat the Mustangs in November). Either team is capable of outperforming a Mustangs squad that did not face the elite competition in its conference.Worst case: Neither the Friars nor the Trojans have answer to Ojeleye and lose to the Mustangs in the first round.

From the looks of the excerpt, Myron really delved deep into these scenarios.

These people get paid for this sh*t?

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

One notch below a one liner saying that every team's best case scenario is winning the whole thing. Worst case scenario is a first round exit - whodathought?

Yes.

Marquette's ceiling is to "give Duke trouble in the second round"... WTF?!?

Let's not forget that 7 days ago Duke was the 5th best team in the ACC, was ranked #14, a fringe projected 4-seed, and was a possession and 30 seconds away from having hot-garbage Clemson knock them out of the second round of the ACC tournament.

This is the weakest #2 seed I've seen in years.  Rattling off three straight against Luhville, UNC and Notre Dame is impressive, but the committee did either MU or S Carolina - not to mention the rest of the East Region - a wee not-so-wee friggin' huge favor by putting Duke in at #2 instead of UCLA.

At first glance I like the concept of the floor/ceiling scenario discussion, but man, this analysis is mind-numbingly dull. I guess the topic itself is sort of pointless and repetitive for most teams.

Also, many analysts felt Duke deserved a 1 over UNC. Not sure I agree with that or how I would feel about facing the Tarheels instead, but it would be interesting. I'm glad UCLA isn't in our region, that's for dang sure.

I'm not making any predictions, but does anybody else think something seems amiss in Durham? Between what's his names tripping issues, Coach K's LOA and an under achieving team, why are people picking them to advance to the F4?

Why not us for Chrissakes?

Remember how in every game day preview, he just used quotes from the previous game's post-game conference? What a bum. Mike Hunt was not tight.

Who's got it better than us? Other than ~36 other teams

I have us losing to Duke, but this is a thought that has comforted me the past few days. Who are the real Blue Devils? The ones that showed up in NYC, or the one that alternated winning stretches with losing stretches? Sure, they beat some big names last week, but they also lost to NC State and Syracuse this year, and I know we're better than them.

Of course, if we did come out of Greenville, we then go to MSG, where we've lost more games than any other court this year, including the BC. Can't say that's an encouraging thought.
