There's an interesting second round matchup that could happen here.  Marquette could end up facing Miami in the second round - MU Coach Carolyn Kieger spent 6 years there as an assistant.

This is Marquette's highest ever seed - their previous best was a 5 in 2007.  MU's 5 was at least 2 seeds better than I expected and I was really surprised that DePaul only got a 7 seed.  I guess Marquette beating them 3 times really hurt them - DePaul was 3 games better than MU during the season, had a better RPI and no bad losses.

I went to Miami, what a great 5 day vacation for the girls, winning the first round means staying in Coral Gables.  A very nice trip for the girls who deserve it.  If they
win both would be great but just getting out of here for 5 days, not bad.  Great to be a cheerleader or band member.  How do they pick who goes where?  Seniors?

I'm very bummed.  Going to Miami but not until Tuesday.  Seeing MU play there would have been awesome.
