I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

I really don't think we are a lock.

The 2003 team laid an egg vs. UAB in the C-USA tournament, too.

We're a lock, but Dayton is still very much in the mix especially after that clunker.

Then we get a practice game in.
Have some patience, FFS.

Anybody our all-time record in the BET is without having to look it up?  It feels like we never, ever do well and lose to the first good team we meet.

Feeling good about the tourney - that is all

I'm just nervous about possibly landing in Dayton. Hopefully it won't come to that and we can start in the round of 64

Got bounced by ND and made the Elite Eight.

Get bounced by decent SH team... Sweet Sixteen?

Man, I really do not enjoy playing Seton Hall.

And their commercial looks like it was written and directed by a middle school student.

I like us versus just about any team out there----except SHU.

Since so many don't think we're in the ncaa tourney, who's willing to make a bet?

Who are the "so many" of which you speak?

Why? If we are in Dayton we won't have the dreaded 8/9 seed. At least I don't recall 8/9 seeds playing in Dayton. What is important are the match ups. Hopefully will play someone that does not matchup well against us.

That's all I hope for.  It's much more fun playing with everyone else than starting in one of the filler games.  Not optimistic we get a win either way without a crazy good match-up, but the younger guys need to get some tournament experience.

Babybluejeans

Today's a reminder of this fact: when we hear MU's name called Sunday, that will be the ribbon on a successful season. While many of us - myself included - believe this team shoots well enough to advance beyond the first round and perhaps even make a Sweet Sixteen run, a first round loss would not detract from how important this season has been for the program (and how bright the future is).

We're playing with house money now and hopefully we'll hit some big hands.

Now that's the optimism we need around here!
