Friday NCAA Game

Okay, I'll admit to looking ahead, so if the wadesworlds of the world want to roast me, have at. But...

Generally, the NCAA tries to avoid hosts playing on their host dates, which means a Friday/Sunday set. The four sites on those days are Greenville, Indianapolis, Tulsa, and Sacramento. The former three are all under 12 hours driving time from Milwaukee.

So my question...who's in? Scoop field trip to a NCAA game or two? I know glow and chick are down, anyone else?

I go to Roseville, CA (burb of Sacramento) nearly every other week for work.  Of course,  I will not be in Roseville that week.  I am going to be pissed if they get sent out to Sacramento and I am not out there.

If it's Indy, I'll be going with my dad. Sort of a rookie question but does the university set aside some tickets for alumni? I graduated a few years ago so I haven't had to deal with getting tourney tickets until now.

It depends. Friday night in Indy? I'm there. Day game? That's tougher. Would love to, though. If we win a first round game, I'll do anything I can to get there on Sunday.

Yes.  The university has a very significant block.  Most (many?) folks can get them.  Where you sit is dependent on your contributions to the university.  And being a full season ticketholder, especially if it's very close like Indy, is probably almost a must.  But even folks who give a very modest amount can get in the MU upper deck block.  Even if you can't get 'official' ones, there's typically plenty available in the secondary market.  You think all the MU people holding BC tickets are going?

Let me add this.  Advancements does an INCREDIBLE job putting the tourney weekend together.  There's multiple official parties in the team hotel.  Sometimes there's even off day 'excursions'.  The best in memory was Louisville.  On the 'off' day we all toured the Louisville Slugger factory.

Let me add another point.  If you go and take advantage of all the wonderful stuff MU provides, remember to say Thank You with a nice check to Blue & Gold.

Just curious - regarding the bolded, why is that? Why do they care outside on not putting MU in Milwaukee.

Not the same type of "off day excursions" a head coach of a different program in that city puts on, ai'na?  If only you had a high school aged stud basketball player with you, you would've been...ahem...taken care of.

Indy has been fun in the past 1993 vs big country n then two gut wrenches in 2003. Always a good town to travel to for these games.  Town is set up great fir sporting events every thing right downtown in walking distance

I'm pulling for MCO on Thursday/Saturday. That's Orlando for those who do not spend half their life in the air. It's 80 miles to where I spend my winter, making our games a quick jaunt over the causeway, up I-95 and into the Land of the Mouse.

For those of you escaping the warmth of the Midwest this year, airfare is cheap and the mouse will entertain you on our day off as we prepare to play Duke.

I 100% would go to Greenville. Those are the games that would have been in Charlotte had our legislators not made discrimination legal.

Indy ... I'd be very tempted to make a weekend out of it. About a 10-11 hour drive for me, including my stops to stretch my old bones and make tinkles.

I was a student for that Louisville trip. Went on the same Louisville Slugger tour. Great trip! Great memories!
