At least Davis got IU to the NCAA title game, but yes, he certainly contributed to the ruination of the program. The No. 1 culprit, however, was none other than Robert Montgomery Knight, whose pattern of abuse led to a serious decline in the number of great athletes who actually wanted to play basketball at the school.

In his last 6 seasons at Indiana, Knight won a total of 2 postseason games. Indiana hasn't been a true "blueblood" for two decades now.

Crean should go to a new school, begin a fresh chapter in his career.  If Archie Miller leaves Dayton, he would thrive there.  No need to go to another big state school.
