Rowsey.

Great game by Luke and I certainly love the 7 blocks... but DePaul still shot 52.5% 2FG% and scored 1.18 ppp. Heavy usage and ORtg combo for Rowsey makes him the winner.

PS....
@JBBauer612 Of all players (40% mins+) with a usage of 20%+, #mubb's Andrew Rowsey has THE BEST ORtg in the nation. #2-Markkanen, #3-Kennard

GGGG

I voted Luke yesterday, but after a night sleeping on it, have changed my mind to Rowsey.

I don't think it was that you put Rowsey first. I think it was that you put Luke third combined with your well documented obsession with him

Would have no problem voting luke first if i felt thtats where he belonged, in fact i be very happy too
Also beleive some voters are not being veryobjective in the sense that luke has been vilified at times this year.  Then when he has a decent game his supporters feel its the greatest.  Jmho
Luke was better yesterday, stood and watched less and made some things happen.  No where close to Rowsey tho. Imo

I'm going with either Jeron Jackson or Rowser.  Fox Sports announcers continue to suck and mangle player's names.

Ugh!  Even the public address announcer at the game referred to Jujuan as "Jackson".
Have some patience, FFS.

I'm a big Rowsey fan. Glad he's on the team (and for another year, too!). The man can really light it up, as he did yesterday.

But ... he also committed two idiotic fouls, and his man got by him whenever he wanted to pretty much all day long. Plus, he struggled mightily against the press as we almost let DePaul back in it.

We rail about our crappy defense all the time. Well, in addition to scoring 13 points on 6-for-8 shooting and grabbing 8 rebounds in 26 minutes, our last line of defense blocked 7 shots -- essentially erasing a potential 14 points worth of mistakes made by his teammates (and maybe a couple of his own mistakes).

But that's only a "decent" game. OK. I guess a "good" game would have been a triple-double, because good players get those all the time.

1.  Luke.  That was an incredible performance on both ends and his defense and rebounding were fantastic.    Without a presence in the middle, it may have impacted the open 3s, the ability to drive and dish, etc.    If he can continue to play like that, our ceiling is high.
2.  Rowsey.   He just continues to impress and improve.   His defense is a little spotty (nitpicking) and at times on the press and trap his lack of size hurts him but he is really lighting it up lately.   I haven't been this confident when a shot goes up from outside for a loooong time for MU. I love that he plays with an attitude as well.
3.   tie between Cheatham and KR.

4...all the MU fans in attendance...way to show!

I'm one of the people that has been most critical of Luke.  I have him number 1 for this game, because he played the best, period.  His performance 13 pts, 8 rebounds, was good but not great.  7 blocks though is absolutely insane.

We have someone go off for 22 points nearly every game (Rowsey), but 7 blocks is a once a year type occurrence.  It's also a team high for the last several years.

Someone will score 22 against Butler...no one will get 7 blocks.

Great stat. Also worth noting that in conference play he's leading the Big East in ORtg (147) and 3P% (57%!!), #2 in FT% (90%) and #7 in assist rate while also minimizing turnovers (#18). Those are all-conference type #s. Kid is having himself a season. Glad he's here another year.

Again, not putting Luke first and Rowsey have nothing to do with it. It was putting Luke 3rd combined with your previous statements about him. Don't want people to rag on you? Don't over obsess about and demean individual player's performances ad naseum.

Rowsey is playing really well lately. I hope he can keep it up

Finally have time to weigh in.

1.  Rowsey. Big shots brought us from a 14-7 deficit to never surrendering the lead.
2.  Big Fish. Big game.
3.  Haani. Good to see him play well at both ends.

Let's do it again Tuesday!  Go Warriors!

We all know who my vote is.

I don't. Just because you have a guy's name in your username doesn't prevent you from making an objective, rational decision. It's not politics.

Last year he voted for Wally after every win.

Luke played great shot blocking.  Rowley played great shooting.  Both deserve to be SOTG.

I am absolutely shocked that you didn't pick Luke. Shocked, I tell you...

Late pick - Luke only has about 34 hours to brag about it.  I was skiing all weekend, and only saw the second half - may have skewed my pick (I didn't see Rowsey pull us back from a crappy start), but Luke certainly put on a show in the 2nd half.

Anyhow, as has happened several times this year, there were at least 2 good choices for SOTG, and I had to pick one...even if some of you will disagree with me on it.

Geez, Rocky, if you are in charge of picking the stud, the least you could do is watch the entire game, even if you have to record it.

For some reason, I can rarely bring myself to watch a game after the conclusion is already known.  Just not much excitement to it if it's not live.

I'm with you there, which is why I went technology silent Saturday. Had I known the outcome, I probably wouldn't have even watched it. Just not the same if you can't at least get the as-live feeling.

I'm sure the Nova win was an exception.
