Short answer, yes.

Long answer, yes for now but theres still a lot of season left and still need 6 more wins from Providence, Depaul, St. Johns and Georgetown.

He may be in the tourney right now anyway. Certainly right in the bubble. A win puts us in 8-10 seed territory for the moment.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Turns out, we dont even need the Creighton win to be in the tourney. Ill admit, I am a little surprised.

Well, a loss would probably knock us out. So we still kind of need it?

But yeah, the bubble is awful.

Last team in currently.

Seems crazy, but against the rest of the bubble our wins look pretty solid. @ Georgia, Vandy (N), Georgetown, and Seton Hall coupled with no bad losses puts us in decent shape at this point. Look at the rest of the teams right around the cutline if you doubt that.

FROM ESPN article:

3. Big East
Avg. BPI rank: 3rd
Top-quartile BPI rank: 3rd
Top 50 SOR rank: 4th

The Big East has the reigning national champion and current No. 1 in BPI in Villanova. In addition to the champs, Creighton, Butler, Xavier and Marquette are all formidable teams that are in the top 35 in BPI and could do damage in March. Georgetown and Providence are having down years compared to recent history, but the future is bright for the Big East.

People are surprised because we live in a bubble when it comes to cheering on our team.  We see the warts day in and day out and know the flaws and missed opportunities.

However, there are 30 other teams out there with similar or worse flaws.  All of these teams will have an opportunity to gain some traction in regards to their bid in the upcoming weeks. We have one today and tuesday.

So, if we lose today, even if it is a bit ugly, it won't eliminate our chances.  Because there are a bunch of other bubble teams that are gong to lose today as well.

Creighton win would be huge if we win the ones we are supposed to. Play in line is always dangerous since all it takes is a couple of surprise tournament winners and can get knocked out.

Vandy beats ranked Florida on the road, coupled with the MU win...bumps us into safe territory and 4th place in the BE.  Pomeroy projects MU at 11-7 in conference now with only Nova and Xavier (away game only) as probable losses.  Close on Butler and Creighton home and Providence away.

We could lose to any team......I am especially worried about St. John's......

We have to play with composure and finish games......

HC and JJ need to get their psyche straight.....Because they have been hanging out with Sandy too much.....

In all honesty, those three games after 'Nova are huge. Providence at home, which is one you should and must win, then road games at St. John's and DePaul, which may be lowly programs but have proven difficult places to play this year. Every game is of equal importance, we still can't afford to slip up.

Yeah, but most already had that penciled in as a loss on the road to 10-8 anyway.    House money.

Also jumped about 25 spots to 53 in RPI with another huge opportunity on Tuesday.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Updated kenpom game by game projections has us going 13-5 (11-7 probable) with the remaining losses coming to nova on Tuesday and @Xavier! Highly unlikely but very interesting, 10-8 looking like a strong possibility.
