looks to me like jae is doing just fine and shouldn't really have anything to worry about.  he either needs some support from his team, or have someone tell him it's just noise.  i never would have thought him to be this insecure. i don't think so.

hayward is utah's "go-to" guy, but jae is statistically speaking, a better shooter and role player.  if the celtics were to consider bring hayward over as a free agent, who would it really hurt? there are only so many balls to go around.  how would hayward fit in with boston?

these intimations that stevens wants to reunite with his player from his butler days-careful what ya wish for and leave well enough alone. i don't think hayward's probable $20 million would make boston that much better than say jae's(if they choose to resign him) $12-14 million?

these social media devices do more harm than good-the more they try to voice their opinions/feelings with these modes, the more it gives the trolls out there a bat to beat you with.  the media feeds off these and fan the flames-not much good coming from them

jae-you're doing just fine.  play like the fans are cheering for hayward every game and they will be going, gordon who?

Jae still has 3 years left on his contract, which is guaranteed @ (6.7, 7.3, & 7.8 million) so he is no danger from a financial standpoint.  In today's league and salary cap Jae is a bargain, if he were to put on the open market, I agree he is probably a 12-14 million dollar a year player.

Probably just self-motivating himself, and look what we did, 5/6 from from 3pt, and 21 pts.

GGGG

This will in no way backfire on Jae.  As NBA beefs go, this is pretty tame.

Tame, yes. Jae is right though, that's some bush league from Boston fans. Not shocking.

If Jae wasn't playing for a marquee, east coast franchise, this story likely isn't even news.

No.   If you have an opinion, state it proudly and own it.  Live with the consequences.   We do it here all of the time.   Why should an athlete not be allowed to state an opinion?     And so what if it doesn't gibe with yours or mine?     We need more of it and not less.

I don't think Jae is or needs to be worried about the backlash to this. He's outperforming an undermarket contract for one of the worst fanbases in the sport.  I think that's taking a toll and he sounds like he frankly wouldn't cry real tears if they sent him somewhere else.

4everwarriors

Real Warriors don't whine.

Maybe doing better in his English classes makes his opinion more valuable.

At the very least, it is more readable.

Interesting take there. Do others around the country agree with this? The Celtics fans love Jae, he fits the tough Boston mold. Some fans also appreciate haywards talents and wouldn't mind seeing him wear green. It's no shot at Jae, I'd love to have them both. However, I hope Jae gets a huge ovation next home game. The teams really clicking now that everyone is healthy and Jae is a critical piece

Yes, Boston has the worst fans in the country. Not just celtics but Bruins and Red Sox are unbelievably obnoxious as well. Though when cheering for the Pats they don't seem as bad.

I defend 4evers right to his opinion that writing in that style is amusing.    I also defend his right to disagree with Jae.    And my right to disagree with him for disagreeing with Jae.

Boston fans are certainly passionate and all 4 teams have been successful lately so there has been a lot to cheer about (or be obnoxious about, depends on your point of view). I respect other passionate fan bases that others may dislike like Philly, Pittsburgh, cardinals, red wings, fans just to name a few examples that come to mind. The fan bases that bother me are bandwagon fan bases like the Cubs, Blackhawks, Seahawks, Warriors, panthers(last year), heat (with big 3). To each his own

cheebs09

Part of his frustration may be that it was cheering during the pregame intro of Gordon Heyward. They are rumored to be a mutually interested and he plays the same position as Crowder.

GGGG

Part of this is what drives and motivates Jae.  We all know that cause we have seen it.  From obtaining a Juco degree in about 15 months, to refusing to shake hands during pre-game intros in Madison, that chip on a shoulder is who he is.

And I don't really blame him.  He goes balls out every night playing the game, and the fans cheer your potential replacement?  F*ck that.

So if Boston sports are successful they're passionate but if Chicago sports are successful they're bandwagon? lol

I dated a girl from Dorchester (or southie to you people) for 3yrs and we went to every Bulls celtics and Hawks Bruins game (minus the stanley cup) and I was treated like crap at both. The one Sox vs Sox game people were nice to me but were considerably more vulgar to the players. So I stand by my assessment that Boston fans are the worst in the country (minus pats though there was no Patriots vs Packers game for me to base that off of)

I'm sure none of the Boston franchises had any bandwagon fans, huh?  Ridiculous.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Personally, my worst experience with opposing fans was with Lions' fans. I do find Red Sox fans more annoying than just about any fan base. All that whining about the Yankees' payroll when they had one of the largest in pro sports. But like most things, my opinions are based on experiences I had with specific fans. Could be isolated incidents.
