I couldn't disagree more. Wojo didn't miss bunnies. Wojo didn't fail to box out. He pulled the right strings and had us in position to win. The players didn't hold up their end.

jdbied

Agree.  Did I miss him on the floor?  Did the fact that Jjj lost that rebound fall on Would?  And the layups?

Fred Garvin

Classic game to steal on the road, and they failed

tower912

Wojo did a lot of good things in this game.    This is on the guys on the floor failing to secure rebounds and then committing dumb fouls.

Out rebounded once during a free throw. Okay

2nd time: crap needs to hit the fan

3rd time: Benchings.

You are saying getting out-rebounded on the free throw line is a coaching mistake?  Bring in Heldt?  Maybe.  Really don't think that is a coaching issue.

And put in...?

Rowsey? To help rebounding? Heldt? In a 1 point game?

Yup; I've been critical of wojo at times but this isn't on him. He put them in a position to win on the road and the boys just choked, we showed plenty of heart fighting back to take the lead but lack toughness.

My wife knows nothing about basketball and was barely watching. At the end of the game she says, "Sloppy."

Wrong. Players, not plays.

Benchings.   Ha.   Bring in whom?   Heldt?   Rowsey?    Only 8 guys dressed.

Mostly yes, but end of game situational awareness has to fall on the coach too. How do you give a blocking foul on a layup when you're up 3 with under 30 seconds? Either you floor the guy and make sure there is no way in hell the shot is going in, or, preferably, once he's turned the corner you concede the shot - then you're still up 1 with 25 seconds and the best FT shooting team in the country.

Predictable the posters who show up at the end of the game to declare the program dead. Just don't bother watching, OK?  Unfortunate that we fumbled that one away in the last 30 seconds. But what really killed was the three trips down the court in the 30 seconds before that ended up with no points.  Tough game, but we will win more of these.

Leaving now to avoid the post-game kvetch-fest.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

Afroman

I blame the coach for basically ruining HC. That kid is a shell of his former self.

#UnleashSean

Right your all right. How did leaving Fischer and jujuan go? This isn't something new. These are the players that have been constantly ending games like this.

Same coach found him and made him. Wojo isn't the reason Cheatham missed the layup.

MattyWarrior

Run a frickin play, instead JJJ dribbles into a crowd for the tenth time and the pirates are smiling.
What are we gonna do against teams with 2 bruisers?

You should change your moniker.  I knew Afroman, and he'd think you are dumber than a box of rocks, he'd be insulted to be associated with you.

A freshman made a freshman play in his first road game.   He played his chico's off today.  He went for the hero draw-the-charge play and failed, leading to a series of failures by the players on the floor, not the coach.

Heldt did a better job boxing out and.           bodying up .like to see Fischer's stats

Afroman

You're right. HC is the same.

Okay. So you do want our 5'8" PG in for our 7 foot center to rebound free throws. Got it.

To be somewhat fair, Cheats got hacked on that layup with no call.

Regardless, not Wojo's fault.
