Two Escobars, Bernie and Ernie, and Guru of Go are all up there for me. Almost all of them are really well made so its hard to choose a favorite.

I have watched the majority of them and it is very hard to say the best.  90% have been very enjoyable and well documented with facts I was not aware of while watching.

- Without Bias (Len Bias story)
- Fantastic Lies (Duke Lacrosse)
- Brian and the Boz (Bosworth)
- Unguarded (Chris Herron)
- Elway to Marino (1983 draft)
- I hate  Christian Laettner
- Doc and Daryl (recent one which was very interesting, especially Doc Gooden spaced out on show)
- Hit It Hard (John Daly out of his mind)

So many to watch, go for a binge.........

The 5-part O.J. Simpson one was very well done.

I was trying to explain to glow jr. just how crazy that entire story was, and when this came one, we watched it together.  ESPN did a great job of showing how popular O.J. was and how this crime seemed unimaginable to most people.

  speakin of daly-he was in the PNC father-son golf outing in orlando this past weekend-lil' johnny(13 years old) is going to be a stud golfer.  hopefully, he took notes about his father's "weaknesses" and he'll be alright

Do we have to wait 10 to 20 years for it or could it be less than 5 away?

I'm sure 100 "film makers" have something in the works but it'll be a while before we see a 30 for 30. We need to see how this all plays out first.

Do the Cubs go from Lovable Losers into a dynasty/model franchise?

Do they become the 90s Braves with a dozen division titles but only 1 WS?

Do they crash and burn completely from here? How does that change the perception?

How long does Theo stay in charge? Where does he go from there? Run for office? Disappear? Turn the Cleveland Browns into champions?

I could see a short on Theo's tear-down-rebuild, but too much of the story still has to be written before it can become a compelling 2-hour doc.

Todd, thanks a lot.  I'll certainly watch it one of these days (but IIRC, it's over 2 hours long, which is why I've been so hesitant)

I'm waiting for the 30 for 30 about a bartender/sports blogger who turned a cult following into a job at ESPN, built a multimedia empire and then watched it crumble because, much like the athletes he enjoyed ripping in his columns, his arrogance got the best of him and he began mailing it in, thinking he could do no wrong.

On C vs. C, weird how the guy who was the ostensible focus of the documentary - "Walshie" - stayed clear of the t -shirt which generated all of the controversy.

This.  There is nothing more maddening to me than a too early documentary.  Time needs to past to truly get all of the facts and put things in perspective.  I remember watching VH1's in the mid nineties (yes,  showing my age) Behind the Music on 70's acts and they were fantastic.  Then seeing one about a 90's band... that is simply too early.  The full story hasn't been written yet.

One more to add to the list:  The Liverpool Hillsborough disaster.  I am a Liverpool supporter but even non soccer fans can enjoy the justice/lack of justice in this one.

So well done, still has an impact in the U.K. There are court proceedings going on to this day.
