Luke. The Big Fish put up a supremely studly stat showing: 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in 15 minutes. That's 40 points, 13 boards and 5 blocks per 40 minutes. Unstoppable.

KPom agrees with this analysis.

They play 40 minutes for a reason.  Every minute matters.

Having said that, there is no I in TEAM.  Win as a team lose as a team.  You win (or lose) in your preparation, not on game day.

So your pick for Stud of the Game is?

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Agree. He was big early in the game to make sure things never had a chance of getting out of hand.

The team and coaching staff. You're only as good as the worst player on your team.

Luke also projects out to 8 PF's.

Sorry, Rowsey fans but chucking in garbage time doesn't earn any votes.

In that case, a lot of college basketball teams missed out on Henry Lowe. That guy is a champion!

We were up 22-6, 32-11, etc.  What minute wasn't a garbage minute?

Are people really that happy with how JJJ played to put him in the top 3?

4 TO's that could have easily been in the 6-8 range if he wasn't getting lucky with the way the ball was bouncing after they had stripped it from him.

I'm liking that he's so confident in his ability to get from the 3pt line to the mid/close range, but there are times when he needs to learn to cut bait and pass out of a bad situation.  He's starting to look like a black hole out there that doesn't facilitate proper ball movement.

I'm with you here. Baffling to me how anyone would mention JJ. I thought he had a bad night. His first 5 minutes were great, but after that he had almost as many turnovers (4) as points (5). Minimal impact on the boards as well. I'd rank him behind Howard, Luke, and Rowsey for sure, and would have a tough time putting him ahead of Sam, Cheatham, or Traci. Just a poor night for Jajuan.

Rowsey because he was under pressure to perform and he came through.

What did he prove? That he can shoot? We already knew that. He needs to prove that he can defend and avoid chucking. Putting up big numbers late in a game against a bad team that was going through the motions doesn't prove much of anything.

GGGG

We already knew Rowsey could score a bunch of points against crap competition.  That's why he decided to transfer here.

Should we even have a stud in this game?

What's the point?

I guess the way to prove it, is in the Game, and if your shooting gets you in, then maybe you can display other skills. which has Not been displayed yet.

Wojo recruited him mainly for his scoring skills, now after this game he gets more minutes and more comfort in using  what else he's got.

He scored 20 against Pitt and followed that up by playing 14 and 5 minutes in the next two games, both of which were blowouts. Wojo understands that Rowsey is an undersized shooter who contributes little else. That's not a knock on the young man. That's what he is. I believe that he's going to hit a few big shots for MU this season but, for the most part, he's going to have a fairly limited role off the bench.

Because a scant 2 years ago we won 13 games. Celebrate success brother.

Because it's fun. Because it's tradition. Because debating stuff that doesn't really matter probably describes at least 80% of the threads and posts on this forum.
