Wojo said he would be fine, but he would be sore today. I just do not understand why we put him back in. We did not need him to win the game and why risk greater injury to our most important player? Having him being close to 100% against Michigan to me was much more important than getting extra time last night.

I completely understand his desire to play.  Sometimes you just want to get back out there to convince yourself that you're fine.  Luke did that.  Now he just mentally moves on.

One of the worst things  an athlete can do is to go out on and play when their injured. They are all full of adrenaline so they don't feel the pain, but then they aggravate the injury more.  Athletes are competitive and they try to convince coaches and trainers that they are ok. Buzz was always good at seeing through that.

He wasn't really all that injured.  That's why they have athletic trainers to help make that determination.  They tend to know more than a message board poster.

I suspect there's an orthopod handy as well.

Exactly.  Doctor and trainer cleared him.  'Let me give it a run, coach'.  Nothing to see here.

Luke jumped up and down in the tunnel and the left nut dropped back down.

How do you know that. They said he had a contusion. In my experience, contusions have ended up as partial tears. Not saying anyone did anything wrong, but if it was my team, I would have kept on the bench as a precaution. No upside in putting him back in.
