Vander opened the season in solid form for the La Defenders 21 points and 6 boards in a big win. 7-10 from field 1-1 from 3.

Lets hope he can keep this pace the rest of year.

He will be the top D League prospect for sure.

Doubt it, he's ancient by nba standards isn't he like 25 now?
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Every person gets their own thread? For a fan who thinks we will go 0-5 in all big Nonconference games and thinks we will win 14 games... you post an obscene amount on people who have transferred from the team or players no longer here.

While I love our alumni, vander and lazar are great, these could be one thread called "MU D LEAGUE RESULTS" but the need for clicks is over the top. Half of the threads posted have been by you about things that could be one thread duder.

You've got great takes and at times good thoughts and I respect that but why a new thread on every player daily?

When watching Vander play on Saturday night, it occurred to me...Vander has played for the LA Defender's longer than his time Marquette.

I really hope he can called up. He has real talent a team needs to give him a chance.

That one extra year in college couldn't have hurt....

Well, teams have given Vander a chance. The Celtics and the Lakers both had him on their roster at varying times but it didn't stick. I hope he gets more chances because I'd love to see him as a regular NBA player, but he's definitely had opportunities. The NBA is actually a pretty efficient meritocracy: players who've earned the right to play in the league will have a place at the table.

Well, as the bulk of his NBA time came in that first year, maybe it would have.
