Really I'm just amazed that Wisconsin didn't even offer him.

After he goes off for 20 against Bucky, I guarantee Bucky fans will "claim" it was his grades.

Let's hope both of those things come true.

I think high school rankings are skewed to favor athleticism over basketball IQ. High IQ players are more likely to contribute as freshmen.

See Happ, Ethan.

It's only one game, but I love what Sam showed on both offense and defense against a quality opponent. Much more reassuring than against a cupcake

I am sure Bo Ryan made a big mistake, he is better than Ford that is redshirting and would have fit in nicely at any program.  I am sure the Hausers will remember no
offer from Bucky no matter who the coach is, Gard was there.  I like his role on the team, much like Novak's freshman year.  No real pressure on him.  Just go out and
play and have fun.

Based on the praise we're deservedly heaping on him, this has been proven to be not true  :)

Ethan was a redshirt freshman when he first contributed though.  So even he had a year to adjust to the college game before being asked to produce on the court.

Well yeah Sam is better than Ford.  But Ford just committed to UW this past April.  Sam committed to MU way back in May 2015.  Bo was trying to land someone else right?  I can't remember who it was right now...

The Hausers definitely remember, however, it doesn't quite disqualify them. They are still in the running. I think Marquette has the lead and Sam getting off to a good start can only help with Joey.

This might make a difference, if Bo was still there. I do not think this has any effect on Gard.

Joey seems pretty friendly with Markus Howard on twitter as well, for whatever that's worth.

I think it does matter and it seems like Wojo is recruiting likeable players. He talked about how Eke fits that description.

Markus is like a member of the fam at this point. He and Sam are boys.

This seems unlikely given that Gard was the right hand man and did more recruiting and scouting than Bo.

Yes, but he can claim whether truthfully or not that he wanted Bo to offer.

MUDPT

I thought UW offered Hauser wayyyyyy late.  They didn't deem him good enough.  Last I heard last year, Joey was a Marquette lean, but I have no idea at this point.

GGGG

Marquette has put itself in a real good position with Joey.  If he chooses to go elsewhere, it won't be due to lack of effort.
