For those not in the Milwaukee area who are wondering; "How good is she?"  (like I was)
Here is Brewtown Andy's take:

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

It's going to be weird if we actually have a competent women's team.  Seems like it's been since the Abbie & Lisa era.

They were picked to be #3 in BE so it looks like they will be.
Goal is National Championship

I think they have a legitimate shot at challenging DePaul this year. (That's a really odd thing to say in a positive way) They will be much better than the men this year.

Not having to recruit until the 2019 class may be nice, but Kieger may want to balance the classes. Don't want to have to fill a seven player recruiting class every fourth year.

Well, that's one way to be a virtual lock for having a quadrennial #1 recruiting class.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Considering she didn't have much of a choice when all of the other players left...

"Oh, I know I only have five scholarship players right now, but I am only going to recruit three this year so that my classes aren't unbalanced.  Those other high level players that are interested in our program this year will just have to go somewhere else."
Have some patience, FFS.

Wow, a decent chance that the women's team will be more competitive than the men's. How emasculating is that?

I guess that means Bill Scholl is turning us into another DePaul.

I totally get that, when she took over, she had to fill the cupboard and take what she could get. My point was more that once she gets to 2019, adding transfers may be to her benefit to balance the classes.

I'm glad our women's team is doing well and look forward to us replacing the University of "Gee Can I Hold Up a Liquor Store and Not Face Charges" (Tennessee) as the nation's preeminent women's program.

But Chick, bite your tongue! NEVER, NO NO NEVER, EVER EVER!!!!!!

Pretty sure if you want to be the nation's preeminent women's program, it's not Tennessee you need to replace. Since Tennessee last went to the Final Four (2008), Connecticut has won 6 national titles. Nothing against UT, but they have been a pale shadow of UConn for close to a decade now.

Is there any truth to the rumor that the woman's team is finalizing a home and home deal with ND?

Are transfers much of a thing in Women's hoops? Serious question.

it didn't work out quite so well for the two that followed Pat Summit's kid to Louisiana.

Enough of a thing where you have to sit out a year.  Not the case for volleyball, soccer, or lacrosse.

Article from last year on the increasing frequency:

Couldn't find exact numbers, but it's certainly happening with greater regularity.

Much fertile ground here.

So Chloe has a couple of inches on Cam?  Great for MU and the Marottas.

Carolyn is really getting things done with an exciting brand of basketball with a total rebuild. I am looking for the team to be ranked this year. While unbalanced, she needed a clean sweep and got at it early.  MU narrowly avoided another pr disaster there with Pat Jr.
