On the bright side, it should keep fat, middle aged guys from wearing jerseys in public.  I hope, no, pray!!
Gym motivation hey? Got to sport no undershirt mode, let the guns breath

I like them. Looking forward to seeing them in action this season.

Overall I think they look great. Only issue I have is the jump man logo, the AL, big East, and American flag make for a very busy top third.

Ya, jump man and the Big East both non-negotionables. Probably could have done without the American flag.

Yup. Providence's new ones just have Nike, big east, and something in the middle a la our AL and it looks so much cleaner up top (not to mention you can match those logos with the MU color brand...which you can't with the flag).

Agreed. The flag forces the big East logo lower on the jersey which makes all three angle down to the left. They could have put the big East logo on the back by the neck like they did a few years ago to avoid that issue

Any idea when we will see the whites and/or any alternates?

Thanks guys!

I like them a lot, I really do.

Great unis.   Kids love them

Skitch

Someone a few pages back said there were going to be six. Blue, white, gold, baby blue and the N7 uni. Is there going to be one more?

I'm wondering about something for the Veterans Day game v. Vandy.

Guessing this, I heard something about a gray uniform, which would make sense for this game. Maybe a camo pattern or something similar to what we had planned for the ill-fated aircraft carrier game with Ohio State. A primary gray with blue highlights could be awesome.

Here's my admittedly unpopular opinion.

A for concept.
C- for execution.

The American flag patch is an unnecessary add-on, and further clutters the already-cluttered top half. This is not helped by the fact that the cut on the armholes and neckholes is, as my wife put it, "feminine." It makes the jersey look like a wrestling singlet or a women's bathing suit. In short, it's less space to put more logos. If Marquette make the NCAA Tournament, there will be FIVE different logos/patches on the top half of the jersey.

The fact that there is no white or light blue trim around the numbers and wordmarks, and the font's reduction to a standard block makes the letters and numbers look like iron-ons or cheaply-made practice jerseys, not bespoke "innovation."

I would be all on-board with this redesign if they had retained the side panel stripes. Hell, you could  even keep the sublimated bumblebee, and moved the name below the number and it still would've worked.

But this looks like it was designed by a committee, and the tricolour "belt buckle" just feels tacked on.

After the teaser video, this is a disappointing downgrade.

I hope "MU won't make the tourney because there's not enough room for a NCAA patch" becomes a scoop Meme.

You do realize people actually have to play basketball in these right? Each jersey is cut and custom fit for each player for, wait for it, comfort and performance. Basketball jerseys actually designed for people to play basketball in, what a concept, huh?

The new uni's are OK. They kind of look like practice jerseys and they're too cluttered at the top, but overall they're not bad. I'm going to reserve my final judgment until I see the rest of the set. I'm sure you'll all be on the edge of your seat for that  ;)

My question: If the team really does have 6 uniforms, why not spread out the homage to past uni's across the set (i.e. bumblebee set, '03 set, beltbuckle set, etc)  as opposed to cluttering them up? I guess it's possible that they did that.

I was thinking the same thing, particularly with the flag and the "belt buckle". These would have been cleaner without those details.

Could the Big East logo have been on the back? We've done that in the past. That could have freed up some space.

I'm still a big fan of them. Definitely unique. The lighter uniforms will be interesting with the horizontal stripes.

My guess (hope) is that the white uniforms get baby blue stripes and lettering, the gold is the reverse of the navy ones, and the baby blue come with gold stripes and lettering.

I think people are overplaying how "busy" the front looks.  It looks fine.  Yeah the flag wasn't necessary, but it works.

Sorry if this was covered, but have we seen the backs? Wondering about a watermark.

Doesn't appear to be one, likely due to the holes throughout the jersey that allow for "breathability".

thanks - and good, that's a trend I'm not sad to see go.

oldwarrior81

off topic a bit, but did anyone see the Oregon football jerseys they wore on Saturday?

Navy blue jersey, gold numbers with gold horizontal pinstripes on the sleeves.  Looks like the same designers may have worked on the MU jerseys.
