It's that time again.

Al's Run is right around the corner.  Over the past ~6 years, we've raised over $20k for Al's Run, and little old MUScoop lead the way as the #4 fundraiser in 2015.  Let's do that again.

You love Marquette Basketball, Al McGuire, and you remember those huge crowds outside McCormick, waiting for the race to begin.

And you've suckled at the teat that is MUScoop for TEN years now.  All done through some serious effort by rocky, spiral, SoCal, and myself.

So do us a solid, and pony up a few bucks.  It all goes to a great cause, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.  Sure, some will pledge $25, $50, $500 .. but imagine if even half of MUScoopers gave $5 each.   Or $19.77, that's fine too.

So, click here, whip our your credit card and pay your respects to Al and Marquette:

Anyone doing a t-shirt?

I still wear my "YOUR TEAM IS EVIL AND MUST BE DESTROYED" from last year, but you can never have too many in the drawer...

Slow start for MUScoop's 10th anniversary Al's Run, and it's only 7 days away!

Guess I need to promote this more.   Lets see, the current total is $324 - how about a matching challenge?  If you slackers can donate or convince your friends and family to donate this weekend, I'll match up to a total of $500 - double your money!

Start at $324 - if it gets to $824 before midnight CT Sunday, I'll have to plunk an extra $500 to get the pot to $1324.  This is one case where I'm hoping you guys (and gals) make me pay up - and a perfect chance for all the $5, $10, $15, $19.77 donations to double in value.

ZiggysFryBoy

only 5 donators so far.  12:25 pm 9/10/16.

C'mon you a$$holes.  Crean sucks, ND sucks, leggo.

I'm confused. Who is Kevin Buckley, and why do I want to contribute to him?

Maybe a Scoop email campaign is in order.

To wild bill - he is one of the generous people that help make this forum a reality and all the donations go to children's hospital of Wisconsin.

Dr. Blackheart

$1218 raised by Team Marquette Basketball Fans.  I believe the Personal Goal scoreboard on the front page is slow to update or not working as it is stuck at $349. Either that or the Mods are playing mind games.

That would be me.  I organize this campaign for Scoop .. and my wife (MU '93) and kids walk in the Run and purposely visit the MUBB team area, take pics and videos of slaps of 5 .. as a thank you to the donors.

I think MUScoop/BBall fans are north of $20,000 raised over the past 5-6 years.

rocky_warrior

I checked a little past the midnight CT deadline, but kudos folks!  Current donations are at $889, so I have to shell out $500.  I'm proud of y'all.

We accept all here, but there's a large core of folks that have been around for a long time (the pre 'Scoop era if you will).  We also respect anonymity, so I will only verify that  mu_hilltopper is Kevin, and largely responsible for MUScoop being in existence.  I'm Andrew, and not really hiding if you're savvy at domain name searches.  SoCalWarrior and Spiral97 operate more incognito, but I assure you, the place wouldn't be around without their participation as well.

I understand that you and KB put in a ton of time, and Spiral and SoCal are the bankroll.  Thanks to all of you for what you do.

What sort of hoopaloop protections are afforded with the $500 perma-ban.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Isn't Hoopaloop on the Vegas-16 / D-League board?
