Boring Jimmy interview

Bill Simmons spends an hour with Jimmy on his Ringer podcast. Some very nice Jae and Wesley and MU talk (Buzz haters may want to stay away).  But eee gads is Jimmy boring - refusing to take any bait (I've been listening to too much Pardon My Take, I guess) - very nice personality etc, but no interesting stories and wouldn't play along with Simmons efforts to stir rivalries etc - even mildly.

And pretty frustrating when Simmons several times refers to Marquette having been in the Big 10 and seeming to forget that Wade went to MU.  I think Jimmy lulled him to sleep.

I loved his comments when Simmons called Jae a great defender and Jimmy said Jae can't come close to stopping him..

Simmons did a nice job grouping Jae, Wes and Jimmy as Marquette guys who like MSU guys end up out performing their draft pick.  I think he left Wade out because was Wade was drafted several years before them and was a high pick.

I'm only 20 minutes in, but it's a good interview.  Praises Thibs then says he can't wait for the Bulls to kick the T Wolves @ss next year.

Jimmy has been ripped for being open and honest with the media regarding the dysfunctional Bulls. Maybe he learned a lesson.

I'd bet the person that he's referring to as a rival that he actually doesn't like is Kemba Walker, maybe Harrison Barnes. Could be jealous from Walker's run or still upset that Barnes blew us out of the sweet 16
