Marquette to start home-and-home series at Georgia

The Marquette men's basketball team will begin a home-and-home series with Georgia this coming season, a source told the Journal Sentinel on Wednesday afternoon. The series will begin in Athens at Stegeman Coliseum in early December.

Think this is the first time we played in Athens since 1971-1972, since the NCAA Mideast Regionals, when the referees stole a game from us and gave it to Ohio State.

Was there up close and personal. Probably da lowest I've ever felt in all da years of followin' Marquette hoops. Legit National Championship caliber team with UCLA loomin' on da horizon. Long ride back ta MKE, hey?
