Worse yet, the horrible older kids who caused their parents to resent having children get nothing and everything ends up going to the child no one wanted. 

Seems like they made a movie about that somewhere.

Keefe discretion is the better part of valor here. Mrs. Navy had a momentary lapse in judgement hitching her wagon to me, I shall not compound that punishment by making her do all the work.
