Now that we have "seen" Valpo play our guys (respectfully speaking a very good team), what do you think their chances are and how they'll match up against OSU?  I am not familiar with OSU's style of play but I WILL be rooting for Valpo to win that game (no disrepect to OSU, just rooting for MU's best interests).
Once a warrior always a warrior.. even if the feathers must now come with a beak.

Yeah, should be an interesting match-up.  I walked away from that arena thinking Valpo had a pretty decent team (8 for 10 from downtown doesn't hurt).

I wonder how much last night's game will effect their psyche.  Don't know if I've ever witnessed such an emotionally gut wrenching game.  Hell...I still thought that last second 3 had a chance to go for them.

OSU is obviously without their big man, which is nice for Valpo.  OSU spreads the floor well and has great ball movement (something we desperately struggled with last night).

Something happended at halftime because when they emerged from halftime, I noticed Crean hugged both James and Matthews.

At the end of the game Crean kissed James on the cheek, in the middle of this unusually long embrace.

After the marathon hugging session with Crean, Dominic went over to a woman wearing a James jersey (mom, girlfriend, sister?) and gave her a long, heartfelt embrace.

Throughout the games James seemed unusually calm.

Yeah, that was James' Mom.  Jerel (and Maurice) had a large number of high school friends in attendance.  Fitz's parents I believe were also in the front row, while Wes's Mom sat near the bench.

I got a chance to talk with Bo for quite some time, as he sat right next to me.  Kind of funny.  In the middle of the game (as Crean was in one of classic pace modes), he saw Bo in the crowd, and said "Hey Bo."  Pretty funny to think that Crean is constantly aware of his surroundings.

You know, the whole DJ thing could be something as simple as say Crean lighting him up in front of the team at half time. He didn't exactly have a stellar first half, and many have indicated they seemed to see a lack of complete effort. Just a thought. Probably something that hasn't happened before and probably fair to question how James would react the first time.

I hope its something like that, because if another shoe is going to drop, I'm guessing it probably won't turn out too well.

WfP, who is Bo?

"WfP, who is Bo?"

Next time you're in the BC, just look in the rafters.  Then you'll know who Bo is? ;)

Bo Ryan has resorted to hanging upside down from the BC rafters to scout MU?  Or is he just more comfortable there?   ;D

I did here our Bo on the the halftime show.  Said he was doing well and was ready to get back into bball now that his youngest daughter is off to college.

IMO, I think Ohio State is going to blow out Valpo. Valpo is a decent team, but they are not as good as some of these other mid-majors who are knocking off the "big boys". There only remote chance would be to light it up from 3 land like they did to us in the 2nd half.
