It may be true, but to some extent I am a realist. I do not over react to a win over a DePaul team missing their best player. I thought announcing it was the 7th best crowd ever was stupid, because that was like telling the recruits we never had a full arena. I do not care what the ticket sales were, it is the butts in the seats that matter and there were a lot of empty seats. I hope Howard commits to MU, but people here are jumping all over him committing just like they were jumping all over MU making the NCAA tourney after every win. I also think I am more of a contrarian in that I tend to take the other side of things.

There were like 50 open seats.

Yeah, I don't know why bilsu keeps making stuff up. The place was packed.

I did not count them and I could not see the seats behind me, but when they made the announcement there were more than 50 open seats on the side opposite of the benches. Maybe they were out getting another beer.

Didn't realize that Herro was playing with Playground Warriors.  Is Duane's dad still the coach there?

You're confusing teams.

Playground Elite is where Ike is...and I guess that's different than Playground Warriors.

Uhh, buddy, there were ver few empty seats.  But they were sold and you don't get that.

Don't even own a Tweeter but went over to Howard's Tweeter to see if he had anything else to say about his visit and decided to see if Herro or the Hausers said anything while at it.  Noticed Sam Hauser recently started following (if that's what you do on the Twitter) Howard and retwitted his twit about his visit to MU.

Also, having watched Herro's highlights and heard he's a fan of UW I worried he might be a fan of Koenig.  Sure enough, there's a big picture of Herro with Koenig on his visit to UW.  I sincerely hope the kid is shooting for higher than playing 4th fiddle on his college team only to be exposed once the top 2 are gone.

Wades, you said by end of the month we would have the Badger story on Bo all over the news. Guessing that ain't happening anymore?

The Badger freshmen are very good players and they have the freshmen guard Pritzel who broke his foot redshirting. What makes me envious is the fact that Happ will probably be a four year player, while Ellenson will most likely be a one & done. The Badger winning will continue without Hayes and Koenig. They have three more years of Happ, who already is better than Fischer. Three more years of Iliikaninen, Iverson and Thomas and 4 more years of Pritzel. They also have Andy Van Vliet, who I think has 3 more years after having to sit this year.

For the life of me, I cannot understand how some Marquette fans define their happiness by what is going on over in Madison.

I'll take the young guys on our roster and the guys that Wojo is bringing in over what the Badgers have on the horizon.  Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Agreed. We don't even know how gard is as a recruiter. Plus, as long as we beat then every year, I don't really care who they have!

The post was not about who was going to be better. It was about the statement that the Badgers would not be any good after Koenig and Hayes leave. That statement was not even close to being true.

My feelings, as well.

They will be very good next year.  Top two or three in B10. And I hope they continue to be very good. That means we will have great quality wins for our resume.

Maybe, maybe not.

They'll need to get a lot more from the group of Hill, Thomas, Iverson, and Illikainen. I know they're famous for doing more with less, but that was with the other guy at the helm.

Personally, I'd like them to lose every game, but if we need to settle for having them on our resume as a quality win I will accept that.

what do you mean?  as long as we beat them and then they win every game, it helps our strength of schedule and rpi-heyn'a?

It sure does, and that's great. But I can't bring myself to cheer for them regardless of the circumstance. So if I have my choice of UW going 30-1 (loss to MU) or 0-31 (still lost to MU) I'll choose the latter. I know not everyone will agree, but that's just me.
