2/25/16 - Edited to include Tyler Herro also attending the game!

Marquette will host 2018 Whitnall guard Tyler Herro on Saturday; he visited DePaul and Wisconsin last weekend. All three have offered

Sophomore Joey Hauser (6-7) and senior Sam Hauser (6-6) will join Markus Howard (5-11) in attending Villanova at Marquette game Saturday.

Non-game #mubb note: I confirmed PG prospect Markus Howard is taking his official visit to Marquette this weekend. Will be at Nova game.

If we still had Noskowiak he would help close the deal for us like he did with Henry lol.

I would take a 100 point loss to NOVA if it meant Joey and Howard would sign on the spot. Unfortunately, we probably need a 100 point victory to have any chance of that.

I'd rather they wait, since signing NLIs on Saturday would be against NCAA rules. ;)

I'd be OK with Markus signing financial aid papers, a'i'nal?

A 100 point win would be boring. A 1 point win would be very exciting. We need to show that we can compete, so even a close loss might impress the recruits.

I hope the BC is rocking -- does anyone know how ticket sales look?

It is kind of like Senior night (w/o the seniors) since it is the last weekend home game - so I imagine it will be pretty packed.

Place should be packed. National Marquette Day has taken on a kind of Homecoming atmosphere, especially for the recent alumni. Can't wait.

I can't wait -- lower bowl - my only game live this year.  Hope the fans give HE a salute at some point - just in case...

Hoping for a "1 more year" chant as Mache comes on for Henry with a minute left and the game in hand.

Markus Howard has a pretty quiet Twitter feed. He retweeted this, is he visiting Central Ark the following week?

"Aye @markushoward11 and the Howard's coming to Arkansas next week!

Arena with 18,000 or play with about 1,500-2000 a game, is there really a decision there?

GGGG

He's only looking there cause his brother plays there.  Not a serious contender IMO.

Yeah if he actually went there it would mean that family is far and away is most important factor. Which in that case would be hard to blame the decision.

Probably what Kentucky and Michigan State fans thought about Henry and Marquette.

Actually there were a number of indications Henry was going to come here, such as crystal ball predictions and the like.  Nothing similar for Central Arkansas.

Seems like a fair comp.

Comparing a team that turned D1 within the past several years to a team that is widely considering a top 25 or 30 CBB program.  Sounds about right.

You're missing the point.
I'm saying fans of those schools might just have easily dismissed Henry's interest in MU as a result of Wally being there. In fact, we know that's what our friends to the west say is the only reason Henry is at MU.

So hypothetically if Henry was looking at UNC or Duke because that's where his brother went, UK and MSU fans would still question the authenticity of his interest in either school?

You think the typical fan's perception of Marquette, led by first-year coach Steve Wojciechowski, is the same as that of UNC and Duke?
