The Last D1 Team Not To Play A Home Game
« on: January 06, 2016, 10:40:32 AM »
Arkansas Pine Bluff, a favorite of the "buy team" circuit

Here is their schedule

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/2029

They are 2 - 13.

All 15 games have been on the road.  And some not easy like Mich State, Cincy, Iowa State, VT, Nebraska, Okla State (see the link)!

They are not done.  Their next two games are road game.  First home game is Jan 16 when they host Southern.

Currently they are the only D1 team that has not played a home game.  Mississippi Valley State was also a team that did not play a home game, until Miss Valley beat ArkPB at home on Monday.

Yet given all this their SoS is 81

Different world to be on that team.

Apparently UAPB is an online-only school.
Have some patience, FFS.

They should be called fundraisers instead of games.

Last year they averaged about 3,800 per game.  Which is more than the likes of Davidson, Harvard and Houston.

The school's team currently competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and led the conference in average home attendance for six consecutive years (2009 - 2015)

A classic marketing strategy:  Create an artificial shortage.
Have some patience, FFS.
