He wanted to stay and heat got to much for him and Barry. This is not a gift for Gard at all, more of a smoke screen to get out of dodge.

Not saying a gift for Gard at all.  My point was more about the heat was there Saturday just as much as it was this week.  Nothing more, nothing less.  My point wasn't about why he resigned, it was WHEN he chose to resign.

Lots of wild rumors going around right now about affairs, extortion, pissed off wives, the wrong hangers on, etc, etc.   Hard to know what is true or if any of it is true.  I'm sure the crack media in Milwaukee and Madison will be all over it.  LOL.

From what I know the issues surrounding his departure are not all that recent. Things went south for him months ago and he hung for dear life.

He was referring to another thread where someone claimed Buzz or Monarch was framed during that whole fiasco. While I certainly don't believe there was any "frame" or anything close to it, I am curious when/if CBB is going to explain all of the Buzz stuff to us - the stuff he knows that isn't public knowledge.

The pimp was shot at 0330 on Saturday - less than 8 hours before the Marquette tip-off.

No wonder the former Wisconsin coach was...uh...distracted during the game.
