Did Marquette make the cut (anybody with ESPN in)? Care to provide write-up on MU, if so. Thanks.

42. Marquette Golden Eagles
With wins over Arizona State, LSU and Wisconsin, Marquette has jumped up in The Bilas Index. There can be no finer compliment or reward. The strength of this team is in the big men, with Henry Ellenson and Luke Fischer leading the way. Ellenson is a young stud, averaging 16 points and nine rebounds. Fischer leads the Big East in offensive rebounds and blocked shots.

Also, 8 Big East teams in the 64 - only DuhPaul & St. Johns missing.
But I like to throw handfuls...

Thanks. Kind of shocking that we're up to #42...certainly not complaining.

Granted, it's all based on OOC stats, but when was the last time we had a player leading the conference in blocks?

Goose

Only going higher over the upcoming weeks. Best chance for a fun season in awhile.

Mac?

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Unfortunately its not true that Fischer is leading the conference.  Sima from St. John's (a Freshman) is averaging 3.7 blocks a game.  A full 1.5 blocks more per game than Fischer.

Bilas never lets facts get in the way of a good argument.

Bilas, no more hanging out with Medcalf.

K, thanks, bye.

Don't know how they pulled that one off. Lose Obekpa, maybe the best shot-blocker in the country, and stumble upon a freshman who's averaging even more blocks (albeit in non-conference games).
