Do you think any Bucky players will transfer?  How about commits?  If so, will any look at MU?

They have seven Freshman on their roster

Love to see Happ give Wojo a call.

Thoughts?

🏀

Definitely be calling Happ up.

What about that foreign?

I'd love Happ.  Kid can play.

I see that he's a red shirt Frosh.  So I understand, that would mean he could offer someone only 2 years eligibility, correct?

Edit:  Unless he transferred RIGHT NOW.  He'd burn rest of RS-Frosh and first half of RS-Soph playing full Jr./Sr.  That would be sweet.

I am not seeing anyone on that team that wasn't good enough to get minutes on this year's team as being a player Wojo would covet.

You wouldn't take Pritzl?

That's why Bo's announcement now is either poorly timed (because he opens the door to transfers NOW, as the semester just ended) or Bo and Gard are absolutely sure no one is leaving.  Otherwise wait until school starts in January when winter break transfers are no longer possible.

Seriously.  While I truly hope Happ is happy at UW and goes on to earn his degree there, if he has a single shred of doubt he needs to huddle with mom and dad and make a decision quickly.  From a basketball standpoint only, making a call to Wojo might be a brilliant move.

The cat's startin' at UW. He ain't goin' nowhere fast, hey?

They suck and lost their head coach

jesmu84

I would be very surprised if UW let any players transfer to MU. My guess is they'd disqualify any Big 10 or MU transfers.

Possibly true.  Although the Uthoff fiasco still looms.  One can certainly see a Big 10 prohibition.

+1.

I'd be surprised if any UW players even considered transferring to MU.

I'm not sure that a school can outright prohibit a transfer... they can certainly prohibit another school from talking to anyone on their current team, but I think most of the rules that effectively allow coaches to black list schools are conference rules, i.e. it would be a lot easier to transfer out of conference without "permission."

That said, NLI terms dictate you have to attend the institution for the academic year, so freshmen may also have that obstacle which effectively would be a prohibition on anyone

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I'd be more interested in the possibility of 2017 Kobe King decommiting than any of the current roster transferring.

I only saw Pritzl play once in the games in Mequon. He is a very nice player, but I did not think he was as good as his hype.
Happ has already redshirted, so he is not going to transfer. Besides that he and a lot of the other players are not from WI, so why would they want to transfer to MU vs. a school in their home state.

Same. Happ is screwed by the redshirt. Hayes and Koenig aren't leaving as juniors. The rest of the team is meh at best.

Is the original post a joke?  The stupidity is mind boggling.  There's a better chance of Luke Kennard coming to MU than any Badger

That answers the third question in the original post.

How about the first two?

Will anyone transfer?

Will anyone decommit.
