McKay has 15pts, 2 reb at half.

ISU is winning 52-30.

Nice to see the Buzzard getting blown out. Ahmed Hill I presume is hurt (hasn't played this season) and former MU recruit Satchel Pierce has scored five points in three games.

We R Final Four

Matt Thomas would have looked nice in blue and gold.

speaking of iowa state, deonte sitting out until semester end?  after finals, right?

interesting article in iowa state daily-apologize if this has been posted-regarding ncaa and it's rules enforcement.  they bring NN into it.  i know NN has been discussed at length.  that's not my reason for posting this.  i only hope for the best for him and that he gets better.

Iowa State by 22. McKay with 21. Nader with 16 and 11, that one's for HH32.

Hill partially tore is patella tendon back in the summer and is out for the year.

Thank God we dodged that bullet.

I saw that this ISU was playing VTech and schadenfreude took over.  I was hoping that McKay would have a great night.  Good for him.

People siding with Jameel McKay when he left because his feelings were hurt after a public scrimmage?

I typically don't bag on players, but seeing the McKay family all donned in shirts with his likeness on it at the Madness scrimmage, only to see him leave the team a day later, was one of the more ridiculous things I've seen at Marquette.  Glad he's doing well at Iowa State, but frankly I never wondered about him as a Marquette player after that.

Pierce is better than we are seeing?

I'm not sure how much better the guy is who is sitting on our bench.

I see your point. I think my frame of reference was our current 4-5 combo. Had Pierce stayed with MU he is likely on the bench and we don't sign Heldt.

Matty?  He'll contribute here before he's done.  And in the meantime he'll be a great teammate and work his arse off in practice.

Word is Jameel chafed at Buzz military precision schedules among other things. In this case I am glad he left . If McKay  stayed we probably would have had a better season that year and Buzz may not have left which would not have been a good thing.

Glad the kid found a good home at Iowa State and Buzz enjoying life at VPI

But people are still wondering about the buzzster.

Buzz was gone either way. I met someone the other day who dated a former player. Buzz wasn't gonna be staying around.

Do you think Bert became more ridiculous/strange as time went on, or was he that way when he started coaching at Marquette?

i think he always had that in him, but as the honeymoon wore off and he was faced with a little more adversity, his "prayers" weren't always answered. you can only rely on that "first" story for so long.  it was touching and all, but now what have ya got?  buzz discovered that he wasn't the center of the universe anymore.  when God throws the occasional curve ball, ya gotta shorten up the swing.  honesty never fails

The mask came off as time went by, as it will at VT.

I'm still waiting for all the squirmy stories.

Agreed. He will be a big contributor down the line.
