13 months away...
Would love to be in Maui for this. Heck, never been to Hawaii, so going in general would be great.
When do packages come out for 2017? Is it better to buy a package through MU or the invitational? Or, better off to book travel/lodging separately? Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

MU doesn't sell a package.  It's all handled through Anthony Travel (official sponsor/travel agent).  The package is great if you want peace of mind, but a la carte can save you hundreds.  Depends on your departure date, length of stay, transportation needs, desire to explore the island vs. staying in one place, etc.  You might be able to share a sleeping bag with JayBee if you want to go on the cheap.

Packages are the only way to buy tickets before they go on sale to the public, but tickets have never (to my knowledge) sold out, so the risk of booking direct and being shut out in tix is virtually nil.  I don't know that the team hotel is known yet.

Unfortunately, nothing can be booked direct until 11-12 months out. Packages usually don't show up until spring. Tickets don't go on sale until late Aug/early Sep.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Ya, look into it next spring.  MU ticket office/travel specialist has no knowledge or info on this at the present time.

Sorry for the random bump. Just found out that my folks, who have a 1 week time share in Laha-ina (damn autocorrect), are willing to take their trip over Thanksgiving next year and let me tag along.  I mentioned something in passing a few weeks ago thinking they'd laugh it off (they did at the time), but they just told me they are cool with going that week.

Does anyone know how the ticket situation works for Maui?  I heard on the TV this year while watching some of the tournament that the tickets are sold per game since the gym is so small.  How does that work when projecting out wins and losses? Maybe best to just buy a ticket to all the games, but while in Maui probably would only want to go to MU games and perhaps the championship, and enjoy the rest of the time sippin' mai tais by the beach.

I know MU was just there a few years ago, so if anyone who went is willing to give me the rundown, it'd be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
